‘One Day’s’ Brendan Quinn Joins Ensemble Cast of Dark Comedy ‘Scene House’ (EXCLUSIVE)

As a supporter of the arts and someone who has always been fascinated by the complexities of celebrity culture, I am thrilled to see the upcoming short film “Scene House” come to life. The thought-provoking concept, penned and directed by Annabella Fazio, is a physical manifestation of the societal obsession with fame that raises important questions about the value of an actor’s craft and their identity in our society.

Annabella Fazio’s “Scene House,” a dark comedy, has added Brendan Quinn to its star-studded cast. Quinn, who earned a best supporting actor nomination at the National Film Awards UK for his work on Netflix’s “One Day,” will join the production.

Quinn acts alongside Sayya Ingar, formerly of “The Witcher” on Netflix, as well as Nell Williams from “Blinded by the Light,” Denzel Baidoo from “Last Swim,” Selina Jones from “Raised by Wolves,” Aaron Teoh from “Wicked,” and Ivy Freeman-Attwood from “Two Neighbors.” (Or) Quinn shares the screen with Netflix veteran Sayya Ingar, along with Nell Williams (“Blinded by the Light”), Denzel Baidoo (“Last Swim”), Selina Jones (“Raised by Wolves”), Aaron Teoh (“Wicked”), and Ivy Freeman-Attwood (“Two Neighbors”).

In a world where celebrity culture holds a strong grip on society, this thought-provoking short film is set in a chilling future. The scene is the “Scene House,” a bizarre amalgamation of a theme park and a museum, where actors live. Visitors pay to enter and can even interact with them for an extra fee. Among these actors is Jones’ character, who starts to ponder the meaning of his life inside the Scene House as the lines between acting and reality become increasingly indistinct.

Sarah Carter, the CEO of American production company Cheshire Moon Productions, serves as the executive producer for “Scene House.” Lia Lee from Limehouse Pictures takes on the role of the producer.

As a movie enthusiast constantly hopping between Los Angeles and London, I’ve come across a thought-provoking film titled “Scene House.” This intriguing production resonates deeply with me as it embodies the very essence of fame. It dares to probe into the complexities of what it truly means to achieve fame in our modern society.

“At some stage, an actor becomes so highly regarded that they are cherished and revered beyond just their skills. I’m pondering this idea: What does it signify to achieve such fame that one’s art and even personal life have been turned into commodities?” (Fazio added.)

At the 2022 premiere of Carter’s first film “In Her Name” at Tribeca, it received the Audience Award. The executive producer commended Fazio for her “passionate commitment to her vision and creative intuition,” as well as the “remarkable group of artists” she worked with on this production.

Ravi Doubleday, known for “Inland,” filmed this short movie. The unique music score was created by Ali Helnwein, who is also behind “Made in Ethiopia.”

Based on my experience working in the entertainment industry, I’ve come to learn that sometimes agents play a crucial role in shaping the careers of artists and public figures. From what I’ve observed, Quinn is fortunate to be represented by Avenue Agents – a reputable agency known for its exceptional clientele and effective representation strategies. Nell Williams, on the other hand, has chosen 42 MP as her representative, an agency that specializes in managing models and talent, which seems like a perfect fit for her given her background in modeling.
