OhnePixel reveals plans to attend more Counter-Strike events in 2025

On a recent live broadcast, OhnePixel announced his plans to participate in multiple Counter-Strike 2 tournaments in 2025, such as IEM Melbourne and one potentially located in Texas, which might be either IEM Dallas or the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

Just moments ago, we received news that follows shortly after ohnePixel’s performance at IEM Katowice 2025, where he broadcast live from the Spodek Arena. In discussing his upcoming endeavors, ohnePixel shared a prior conversation with a coworker before his stream began.

I inquired about his opinions on Melbourne and Texas. His response was enthusiastic: ‘Absolutely, let’s go for it!’ Olaf, possibly joined by dona too, are definitely planning to join. As for Melbourne, it’s hosting a million-dollar tournament, and both I and the other person have agreed to participate. The plans for Texas remain undecided.

WithoutPixel elaborated on his delight in broadcasting and attending CS events, comparing it to a child’s excitement during a school outing, as if streaming were the ‘assignments’ he eagerly tackled.

Fans will find it reassuring to hear that the streamer is enjoying himself again, as he had taken a prolonged break in 2024 due to pressures from managing his ‘Drillas’ CS team and personal matters.

The end of a meme?

It might surprise those who often follow the German streamer, as he suddenly started attending various Counter-Strike events without prior notice.

In his local circle, ohnePixel was famously a homebody, earning the moniker ‘homePixel’ from his peers. We chatted with Edona “dona” Muliu, his friend, manager and fellow streamer, at IEM Katowice, who shared the story behind the meme’s creation.

The ‘homePixel’ meme originated during IEM Cologne in the summer of 2024. Initially, we considered joining him, but he opted to stay at home instead. I attended only for the interviews. The gaming community then began referring to him as ‘homePixel’, which was quite amusing.

After the IEM Cologne ended, Ohne joined Dona and another Counter-Strike skins streamer named ArrowCS for some real-life content creation in Germany’s beautiful natural settings. “It was a bit like taking a small step into the real world,” Dona explained, “to collaborate with other streamers.

Towards the end of the year, Ohne led his Drillas team to the Shanghai Major RMR competition, serving as their coach during their quest to qualify for the major tournament. Reflecting on this experience, dona mused, “I believe this was his first major event. It seems he enjoyed it and now he’s here at IEM Katowice. I hope we can participate in more events together.

It appears that fans won’t have to wait much longer before they can encounter the man himself at various CS:GO events. The IEM Melbourne playoffs are scheduled for April 25-27, followed by the IEM Dallas playoffs on May 23-25. The BLAST.tv Austin Major is set for June, with its playoffs taking place in the Moody Center Arena from June 19-22, which has already been sold out.
