TinyBuild and Fire & Frost have announced that their medieval RPG, Of Ash and Steel, will now release on November 24th. The game was previously scheduled to launch on November 6th for PC, on platforms like Steam and GOG.
The developers of First & Frost announced on Steam that feedback from Steam Next Fest revealed some problems with the game. They need a few extra weeks to fix these issues and ensure the game is polished.
You can read the blog post below, originally published on Fire & Frost. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can also watch the Steam Next Fest trailer.
Adventurers!
Now that Steam Next Fest is over, we want to thank everyone who tried our demo and gave us their feedback. We really appreciate it!
We’ve been amazed by the hundreds of comments and suggestions we’ve received from players worldwide – something we never anticipated just a few years ago.
We’re thrilled that Of Ash and Steel was a standout demo at the event, thanks to your support! We’ve also reached over 220,000 wishlists, which is a huge accomplishment we’re incredibly grateful for.
We’re really excited to connect with other RPG fans, especially those who enjoy the games that inspired us to make our own.
We’d also like to share some important news about the near future of Of Ash and Steel.
We’re currently testing the game to ensure a smooth, bug-free experience when you explore the island.
We originally planned to launch on November 6th, but our testing revealed some problems that will take longer to resolve than anticipated.
We need a little more time to fix some problems. The new release date for Of Ash and Steel is now November 24th, 2025.
Revealing the release date was a really exciting but also stressful time for us, as we worried something unexpected might happen right before launch. And unfortunately, it did! We hope you haven’t made any firm plans based on the original release date.
We sincerely apologize for this short delay, and hope you’ll understand our decision.
Great news for anyone who hasn’t tried the demo yet! It will stay available for a bit longer, giving you more time to explore Grayshaft and get a taste of the game’s beginning.
Thank you for your support, and we’ll see you (just a little later) on Grayshaft!
