‘O’Dessa’ Trailer: Sadie Sink Leads a Rock Opera Revolution in Hulu’s Post-Apocalyptic Musical

In the debut trailer of “O’Dessa,” produced by Searchlight Pictures, Sadie Sink is seen bringing life to a desolate land through her guitar playing and powerful singing voice. This upcoming rock opera will be available on Hulu.

As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but express my excitement about the vibrant debut of the musical. In this intriguing narrative, Sink’s character is depicted not just from her humble farm beginnings, but also as she navigates through a futuristic, cyberpunk-inspired post-apocalyptic metropolis that’s under the iron fist of a manipulative entertainment tycoon (Murray Bartlett). Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Regina Hall lend their stellar talents to this film as well.

The city of “O’Dessa” will make its debut on the global stage at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas, on March 8th. Geremy Jasper takes on dual roles as both writer and director, and collaborates with Jason Binnick to create the film’s soundtrack. Michael Gottwald and Noah Stahl serve as producers for this exciting production.

In a candid moment, Sink confessed her initial shock and apprehension about taking on the role for “O’Dessa”, as she shared with EbMaster during a Power of Young Hollywood cover interview last August. She explained that while she might appear calm and composed on stage, inside her head, self-doubt would creep in, questioning her abilities to perform the songs convincingly. There were days when the struggle was more intense, but there were also instances where she felt fearless, performing in front of large audiences.

After its SXSW premiere, “O’Dessa” will debut directly on Hulu on March 13.
