Octopath Traveler 0 screenshots showcase the monster arena, museum, primary antagonist, and four more travelers

Square Enix recently revealed new details and screenshots for *Octopath Traveler 0*, including information about the main villain, a monster battle arena, a museum feature, and four additional playable characters.

The new details can be found below, via Square Enix.

Octopath Traveler 0 will be available on December 4th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. A trailer was also showcased at the Tokyo Game Show.

I’m really intrigued by this character! He’s a bishop from the Order of the Sacred Flame, and get this – he’s actually related to the main character’s mom! Apparently, he was super kind to the protagonist when they were a kid, and now he’s looking for a way to help them out. It’s a nice bit of backstory and adds a lot of heart to his motivation, I think.

Scales of Justice is a powerful ability that weakens all enemies’ defenses while simultaneously boosting the attack power of all your allies for multiple turns.

Saoirse

  • CV: Brianna Knickerbocker
  • Job: Dancer

This dancer is a free spirit with a distinctive artistic vision. She’s also a gifted singer and is looking for a creative partner to collaborate with on stage.

Ruinous Aria is a powerful ability that lets a teammate automatically find and attack an enemy’s weaknesses for a few turns, even if there aren’t any obvious weak spots.

Carinda

  • Job: Merchant

This merchant came from a small village near the Riverlands. She’s skilled at winning people over with her kind and approachable personality, and she has a sharp mind for business, always looking for ways to profit.

Trick of the Trade is a powerful ability that significantly boosts the physical attack of your entire team for a few turns. It also gives each ally a one-time chance to completely avoid any physical attack.

Xerc

  • Job: Scholar

He’s a somewhat unusual scholar known for his research on soulstones. His gifted assistant is currently working to raise money, hoping to allow him to examine an incredibly large and important soulstone.

Okay, so my ultimate move, Soulstone’s Might, is pretty awesome. It hits *every* enemy once with a bunch of different damage types – fire, ice, lightning, wind, light, and dark. Basically, it’s a huge elemental blast that covers everyone!
