Square Enix has launched a demo for Octopath Traveler 0, offering players up to three hours of gameplay on both consoles and PC.
So, the demo is finally out on everything after that State of Play yesterday! Square Enix also dropped a new story trailer, which looks awesome. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can find info on pre-order bonuses and special editions here. And, I just put up my preview of the game after playing it on both Steam and the Switch 2 – you can check that out here too!
Octopath Traveler II will be available on December 4th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
You can find the new Octopath Traveler 0 story trailer with more details from Square Enix below:
Square Enix revealed a free demo for Octopath Traveler 0 during Sony’s State of Play Japan event. The demo is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Microsoft Store. Players who try the demo can continue their progress in the full game when it launches on December 4, 2025.
The playable demo lets you create and customize your own character before starting a story after your hometown is destroyed. You can play for up to three hours, experiencing the opening sections – the Prologue and Chapter 1 – of three different story paths: Master of Wealth, Master of Power, and Master of Fame. During this time, you can also try Chapter 1 of the Kindlers of the Flame storyline and test out the new Town Building feature, where you work to rebuild your destroyed home, Wishvale.
