Square Enix revealed that the original soundtrack for Octopath Traveler 0 will be released on December 10th. The soundtrack features music composed by Yasunori Nishiki and will be spread across two discs.
The physical soundtrack will include a booklet detailing the production process and feature new cover art. It costs 3,300 Yen (tax included) and is currently only available for pre-order in Japan. We learned about this from Nova Crystallis! A digital release hasn’t been announced yet, but based on previous Square Enix releases, it will probably become available around the same time as the physical version, with streaming options following later. You can see the cover art for the Octopath Traveler 0 Original Soundtrack below.

We’ve confirmed that you’ll be able to move your save data for Octopath Traveler II from the original Switch to the new Switch console. However, there won’t be a discounted upgrade path, as previously stated. Square Enix also shared details about how Octopath Traveler II looks and performs on different consoles and PC. If you’re interested, you can find the announcement trailer and pre-order information here, and our first impressions preview is available here.
Octopath Traveler 0 will be available on December 4th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam). It will also launch on the new Nintendo Switch 2.
