Octopath Traveler 0 digital pre-orders are now live on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch 1

Square Enix has made digital pre-orders available on the eShop for Octopath Traveler 0, which can be pre-ordered now for both the original Nintendo Switch and its upcoming model, the Nintendo Switch 2.

The digital pre-order screens indicate that players can transfer save data from the original Switch version of Octopath Traveler to the new Switch model, but there is no confirmed upgrade path, as previously announced. Additionally, the eShop pages display distinct screenshots, potentially offering our initial glimpse into the visual variations between Octopath Traveler on the original Switch and the new one. You can pre-order both the standard and Digital Deluxe Edition for the original Switch here and the new Switch here.

Keep in mind that the comparison presented earlier utilizes screenshots from both the original Switch game and its sequel available on the eShop. The distinctions apparent in these screen captures may not necessarily reflect the entire game’s differences, whether in docked or handheld mode for both versions.

Grab your controllers, fellow gamers! I’m thrilled to share that the long-awaited Octopath Traveler 0 will set sail on December 4, available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 (if it ever materializes), the current Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
