The Barcelona-based sales agency, Jambika Docs, has purchased the rights to the documentary film “Noah” prior to the European Film Market in Berlin.
In Spain, “Noah” is set for a restricted theater debut, followed by airing on TV3, Valencian Television (À Punt Televisió), and Radio Televisión Española (RTVE).
The movie chronicles Noah, a 26-year-old activist, who transformed her fight against seven uncommon and incurable illnesses into an inspiring tale of resilience, scientific progress, and hope. Her experience emphasizes the crucial importance of a robust healthcare system for those dealing with intricate medical situations.
From early childhood onwards, her life has been marked by numerous hospital stays, persistent pain, and risky operations. However, she continues to defy the odds through cutting-edge medical advancements and an indomitable willpower. Her journey serves as a powerful symbol of resilience and boundless love, teaching us that there’s no limit to what can be achieved.
Juan Solera, who is in charge of acquisitions and sales at Jambika Docs, expressed his strong attraction towards the emotional impact of this documentary and Noah’s energetic presence. He believes that audiences resonate with personal stories, and Noah’s journey delivers a deeply meaningful message that remains highly relevant today. In his view, it serves as an inspiring demonstration of the significance of public health and the advancements in science.
The movie marks the first time directing for Louise Brix Andersen, a renowned Danish filmmaker residing in Barcelona. The cinematography was handled by Gema Briones.
This production was created by Marc Chica i José, David Delgado Pons at Limmat Films, as well as Rafa Cerveró Ballester and Rafa Cerveró Sánchez-Capilla at BSGlobal TV. It has a co-production partnership with 3Cat, receiving support from ICEC (Catalan Institute of Cultural Enterprises), À Punt Televisió, and RTVE. Elena Marcos serves as the executive producer for this project.
The film was completed in December 2024.
