No Man’s Sky Halloween “Breach” Update Offers Ship Salvage Missions

Just over a month ago, No Man’s Sky received an update that brought the game to its highest ever number of players. But that news was quickly overshadowed by the release of the latest free update, called “Breach.” This update focuses on finding and restoring ship parts from a long-lost universe.

Building on the positive response to the last update, this new release gives you even more options to personalize your spaceship. The developers were particularly inspired by the creative ways players have been customizing their ships, and this update, called Breach, takes that freedom even further.

Seeing the incredible, creative spaceships players have designed over the past nine years has been a real highlight for us, and it constantly inspires us to create new updates and improvements!

The new “Breach Expedition” update is perfect for the Halloween season. You’ll explore the eerie wreckage of destroyed spaceships, and might even find the remains of the Fireship Arcadia – a particularly impressive and valuable ship amidst all the ruins.

The game has a backstory explaining why these ships are grounded, but the developers aren’t sharing any details just yet – you’ll have to discover it yourself. They did mention that the new ‘Breach’ update will explore a more ominous and unsettling part of the game’s universe.

Okay, so the update isn’t just about big stuff – they’ve made building ships way easier! Now I can just pick a color scheme and apply it to the whole thing at once, which is awesome. Plus, there are three new posters to decorate with, and I can find ship parts that look like they’re inspired by Atlas – they’re calling it the ‘crimson heartbeat of the universe,’ and honestly, they look pretty cool!

Sean Murray shared that it’s been an incredible year for the No Man’s Sky team, and they’re thrilled to still be developing the game they’re passionate about, nine years after its initial release. (Eurogamer highlighted the announcement.)

We’re thrilled so many people are loving Voyagers, and we’re excited to share what we’re working on next!

Hello Games’ Community Spotlight Confuses A Lobster For a Scorpion

The recent No Man’s Sky ‘Breach’ update post highlighted cool ships created by players. One ship, however, got some attention for a funny reason: someone at Hello Games apparently mistook a lobster for a scorpion when designing it!

A post on the No Man’s Sky subreddit pointed out a funny mistake: a player discovered something that looked a lot like a lobster in the game.

To be fair to Hello Games, lobsters and scorpions do share some visual similarities – if you don’t focus on the scorpion’s most defining feature: its stinging tail.

Currently, the issue hasn’t been fixed. You can still visit the blog post for a laugh, then get back to what you were doing.
