NMS Worlds Part 2 update is here, and we can finally explore the purple star systems

The July 17, 2024 update for No Man’s Sky’s Worlds Part 1 brought a massive overhaul to the game’s universe. With improved weather systems and detailed planetary features, the worlds felt more vibrant than ever before. New species of alien flora and fauna were introduced, while existing planets saw significant modifications, resulting in drastic transformations for many worlds into entirely new landscapes. These alterations led to some player’s colonies disappearing or becoming submerged underwater, including mine as well. With such unexpected changes, one can only wonder what other surprises Worlds Part 2 might hold.

New planets, Creatures, and more surprises in No Man’s Sky Worlds Part 2

Here’s what we can expect from Worlds Part 2 update:

  1. Follow an epic story to create brand new star system, adding even more variety to the universe.
  2. Engine enhancements include new terrain generation, improved water rendering, and a total overhaul of lightning systems.
  3. Worlds are more varied than ever, and are populated with a bast array of strange new creatures.
  4. Entirely new planet classes have been added, including gas giants, water worlds, and ruined civilizations.

To put it simply, it seems like even more excitement awaits this time around! More bizarre beasts are out to get me, and best of all – a fresh tale unfolds. I’m always ready for new adventures and thrilling journeys! Additionally, we’ll finally have the chance to unravel the enigma surrounding those vibrant purple star systems that appeared after the Worlds Part 1 update but were mysteriously removed later on. Can’t wait to find out more!

It’s clear that we’re not only enjoying enhanced lighting and water effects, but also encountering colossal Gas Giants, some of which are as large as ten times the size of typical planets. However, these gas giants will be challenging to explore, requiring advanced technology. What truly excites me, though, are the ancient civilizations in ruins. While we’ve previously come across small, forgotten relics, this time we’ll have the opportunity to delve into massive, intricate structures.

A new journey awaits, making the latest upgrade all the more exciting! Here’s hoping that it brings unique treasures – let’s keep our fingers crossed for a fresh vessel as a prize.
