NIP Reveals New CS2 Roster: “Time to Make it Count”

In March 2024, Ninjas in Pyjamas revamped their Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) team lineup, and now, nine months later, they have announced more alterations. This time, the team’s structure is centered around the Danish team leader who was previously with ENCE, the skilled Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer.

Following the suspension of Gareth “MisteM” Ries, previously seen as the potential future star of NIP, this recent development brings about a new announcement.

From the old lineup, only Ukrainian AWPer Artem “r1nkle” Moroz remains. The team’s new anchor is Rasmus “sjuush” Beck, formerly of HEROIC, a signing that coach Richard “Xizt” Landström should be thrilled about. NIP finalized its new roster by adding Rafael “arrozdoce” Wing and Michel “ewjerkz” Pinto, who previously played for SAW.

In a recent press statement and social media update, NIP announced a shift in their team lineup, accompanied by the catchy caption, “Let’s make every moment matter!

Time to make it count #GONINJAS

The new NIP roster is:

  • Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer
  • Rasmus “sjuush” Beck
  • Artem “r1nkle” Moroz
  • Michel “ewjerkz” Pinto
  • Rafael “arrozdoce” Wing

A large majority of the team is set to participate in the CCT Season 2 Europe Series 16 Closed Qualifier, which begins on January 16, 2025. However, Audric “JACKZ” Jug will temporarily replace Rafael “arrozdoce” Wing as a stand-in during this period.

I’m curious to watch how NIP fares during their initial games, and whether they can rapidly enhance their performance and work well together as a team.
