Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja recently showed off more gameplay from Nioh 3 during their live stream at Tokyo Game Show 2025. The second stream highlighted the level based on Takeda Shingen, which players can also try out firsthand in the demo at Makuhari Messe.
Even though the developers weren’t able to defeat Shingen in this playthrough, they did share some helpful tips for players. They pointed out a Nurikabe yokai hiding a secret area near the boss arena. Defeating this yokai unlocks a room with a bath and a treasure chest filled with stronger equipment.
The developers also offered some advice on combat. Each fighting style has unique strengths, so players should learn how to use them effectively. The Samurai style excels at blocking attacks and unleashing strong skills, while the Ninja style allows for dodging without using energy if timed correctly, in addition to its quick Ninjutsu attacks. The demo will automatically equip Twin Swords for Samurai and Tonfas for Ninja, but the team suggests experimenting to find the weapon that best fits your playstyle.
You can watch the recording below, starting at 3:45:16.
Just a quick update: another Nioh 3 gameplay stream will be happening tomorrow, Saturday, September 27th, on the PlayStation Japan channel at 2:20 PM Japan time (5:20 AM UTC). The complete game launches globally on PlayStation 5 and PC (via Steam) on February 6, 2026.
