As the proud record holder for the most monumental debut of any animated film ever, I’ve been eagerly anticipating news about its sequel. And finally, my wait is over! Originally, details were scarce, but now, I can hardly contain my excitement as more information starts to surface.
The new Nintendo Direct event kicked off on September 12, a day before the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros., and its opening reveal was about an upcoming movie.

On-screen, legendary game creator Shigeru Miyamoto unveiled that the upcoming film will be titled “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.” Excitingly, the original voice talent behind the characters will reprise their roles.
This ensemble features Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day portraying Luigi, Jack Black taking on the role of Bowser, Keegan Michael-Key voicing Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson lending his voice to Kamek.
