Nintendo Direct Coming In February With Switch 1 Games Info – Report

It appears that Nintendo is set to carry on with its long-standing practice of hosting Nintendo Direct presentations in February, and this year seems to be no exception. According to podcaster NateTheHate, Nintendo plans to conduct a special Nintendo Direct event, focusing on games for the original Switch console, sometime within the next month.

In the very same podcast, I mentioned that the unveiling of the Nintendo Switch 2 would happen on January 16th, and guess what? It turned out to be true! Aside from a Nintendo Direct event for the OG Switch scheduled for February, Nintendo has officially announced another Nintendo Direct for the upcoming Switch 2 on April 2, 2025. This broadcast is anticipated to bring forth a wealth of new information and updates regarding the Switch 2.

Today, January 16, officially marks the confirmation of the upcoming Switch 2 model. This announcement comes just a few weeks prior to Nintendo’s next earnings report scheduled for February 4. It is speculated that Nintendo might disclose details about the Switch 2 during this event, or at least, questions regarding it are likely to be posed by analysts and investors during the Q&A session.

The initial Nintendo Switch has exceeded sales of over 146 million units and 1.3 billion games, making it one of the most successful video game consoles ever made. While anticipation for the Switch 2 is strong, one analyst expresses skepticism about its potential to significantly broaden Nintendo’s user base.
