Okay, so I’m super hyped because Ninja Gaiden 4 is finally coming out for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S! It’s been ages since a new mainline Ninja Gaiden game dropped, and this one was made with help from both Team Ninja and Platinum Games – seriously cool! The official launch date is October 21st, but here’s the best part: if you’re in the US, it’s going live towards the end of the day on October 20th, so I won’t have to sneak off work to start playing! It’s rounding out a great year for the series, and I can’t wait to dive in.
Players in Europe and other parts of the world can start playing Ninja Gaiden 4 very early on October 21st – if you’ve already downloaded it, you can jump right in! Here’s a look at the launch times around the world. And remember, the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate from day one.

Ninja Gaiden 4 preloading times and install sizes
Downloading Ninja Gaiden 4 shouldn’t take too long, with file sizes varying based on your platform and internet speed. It’s around 36.82GB on Xbox Series X|S, 54.9GB on PC, and a surprisingly small 23.55GB on PlayStation 5. Keep in mind these are just the initial install sizes and may increase with future updates and patches. You can still preorder the game and receive bonus content.
After the releases of *Ninja Gaiden 2 Black* and *Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound* earlier this year, *Ninja Gaiden 4* introduces Ryu Hayabusa alongside a new character, Yakumo, as they journey through a dark, supernatural Tokyo. According to a preview by Jessica Cogswell, *Ninja Gaiden 4* will appeal to longtime fans while also being accessible to new players. She describes the game as offering a customizable experience, allowing players to tailor it to their preferred playstyle.
This latest game in the series is known for being difficult, but it seems more accessible than previous entries. Players can adjust the difficulty to suit their skill level – make it easier to enjoy the story, or crank it up for a brutally challenging experience. You can even choose a setting that’s intentionally unfair if you’re up for a real test!
