Twitch streamer Nina Lin has apologized after an old video from 2024 appeared online. The video shows her and another creator, Zoe Spencer, acting disrespectfully towards FaZe Silky’s assistant, Said.
Although Twitch hasn’t officially said why, Lin and Spencer—who were featured in the video holding Said down—have both been banned from the platform.
This happened around the same time a video began spreading rapidly on X (formerly Twitter), sparking significant backlash and allegations of sexual assault.
Nina Lin admits what happened was “wrong”
During a livestream on October 24th, Lin addressed the criticism she received. She explained that she recognizes she made a mistake, stating that at the time, she honestly believed the situation was funny and assumed the other person was laughing along. However, she now understands that was incorrect and that their actions were wrong, as the other person was clearly uncomfortable.
Nina Lin responded to the resurfacing of old clips related to allegations against someone named “Said,” expressing sincere apologies and stating she initially thought the situation was a joke. She also made it clear she doesn’t care about streamers who are trying to gain attention by speaking negatively about her.

FaZe Silky’s assistant, Said, posted on X (formerly Twitter) that he would be releasing a statement soon after the bans were issued. However, it’s unclear what his statement will address – the recent incident, the bans of Lin and Spencer, or a different matter altogether.
still going to make a statement later

Twitch hasn’t explained why the ban happened, but we’ll share that information here as soon as it’s available, along with a statement from Said himself when he releases it.
This incident is happening while Twitch is already under pressure. The company has been criticized for not adequately protecting its creators, especially after streamer Emiru was attacked at TwitchCon 2025.
Twitch subsequently admitted that it had “failed” and that the incident “shouldn’t have happened.”
