As a seasoned cinephile who has witnessed countless thrilling spy dramas, I must say that the trailer for “The Night Agent” Season 2 has piqued my interest immensely. The plot twist of a mole within the CIA selling top-secret information to blow up Manhattan is as gripping as it gets.
Peter Sutherland has returned, and he’s on the hunt for a spy within the CIA who intends to detonate Manhattan.
On Christmas morning, Netflix unveiled a trailer for Season 2 of “The Night Agent,” preceding their inaugural NFL games being streamed live on the service.
In Season 2 of the Netflix series, Gabriel Basso reprises his role as FBI agent Peter Sutherland who’s now been promoted to Night Agent within the covert group Night Action. Following his heroic actions in saving the president during Season 1, Peter is now tasked with tracking down a CIA mole who’s been leaking sensitive U.S. intelligence following a mission betrayal. With Night Action potentially at risk, Peter takes matters into his own hands to uncover the traitor and prevent further damage. The mole in question is using their ill-gotten secrets to solicit the highest bidder and amass resources for an explosive attack on Manhattan, potentially detonating a bomb large enough to level the city.
The actors featured are Luciane Buchanan, Amanda Warren, Arienne Mandi, Louis Herthum, Berto Colon, Michael Malarkey, Keon Alexander, Brittany Snow, Teddy Sears, Navid Negahban, and Rob Heaps.
The series “The Night Agent” was created for TV by Shawn Ryan, who acts as both showrunner and executive producer through MiddKid Productions. Marney Hochman from MiddKid, along with Seth Gordon, Julia Gunn of Exhibit A, William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, and Nicole Tossou from Project X, David Beaubaire from Sunset Lane Media, Paul Bernard, Munis Rashid, and Guy Ferland are also executive producers. Sony Pictures Television is the production company behind this show.
