The recent Switch 2 update resolves compatibility problems some players experienced with NieR: Automata on the new console.
Nintendo is working to ensure that Switch games will play properly on the new Switch 2. They’re doing this through both game updates from developers and system updates from Nintendo itself. Recently, a Switch 2 system update fixed issues with the game NieR: Automata, and the game’s status page now confirms the problems have been resolved. Thanks to Nintendo Life and My Nintendo News for bringing this to our attention! A screenshot of the updated status page for NieR: Automata is available below.

We highly recommend NieR: Automata – we gave it a perfect 10/10 score when it came out in March 2017, and we also enjoyed the version released on Nintendo Switch.
NieR: Automata is now available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam).
