Okay, so there’s been a bunch of drama around ARC Raiders lately with hacks and glitches popping up everywhere. People started accusing me of cheating, which is super frustrating! I just want to say that’s totally not true, and I’ve been speaking out against those claims. It’s annoying when you’re just trying to have fun and play the game, and then you get hit with stuff like that.
Cheating in online multiplayer games has been a problem almost since the beginning, but it’s become much more common recently as games allow players on different devices to play together. Hackers use various cheats – like becoming invincible, seeing through walls, or automatically aiming – to gain an unfair advantage over other players.
For a long time, ARC Raiders was free from cheaters and hackers. But starting in late 2025 and early 2026, they began to appear more frequently.
Popular streamer NickMercs faced cheating accusations due to the impressive accuracy of his shots. The situation worsened when he removed a past broadcast on Twitch, but he’s since responded to some of the allegations.
NickMercs mocks cheating accusations in ARC Raiders
Nick mentioned he hasn’t played the game on consoles, so he’s unsure what’s happening there. He explained that aim assist usually works better on consoles, but it sounds like that’s not the case with this particular game, based on what he’s heard.
Nick addressed accusations against him, noting that some people claiming their aim assist isn’t comparable to his.
He went on to say, “I assure you, I wasn’t cheating. I’ve spent twenty years competing and wouldn’t risk that reputation by cheating against an ARC robot. So, to anyone calling for my downfall, the show will continue.”

Players have been reporting a significant increase in cheating and the use of glitches. According to 100 Thieves owner Nadeshot, the problem is now even more severe than it was in Call of Duty.
As a big fan of ARC Raiders, I was really happy to see Embark, the game’s developers, respond to the cheating issues! They’ve promised to improve the anti-cheat system and are already starting to ban cheaters, which is awesome news.
That clampdown has already begun, but players are still desperate for further crackdowns.
