While streaming Arc Raiders on Twitch, NICKMERCS startled a neighbor, who came over to make sure he was okay after hearing him yell for help during gameplay.
It’s common for things to get intense while gaming. Whether you’re excitedly calling out strategies, asking for help, or getting frustrated, sometimes noise-cancelling headphones can block out important sounds.
This is what occurred while NICKMERCS was playing Arc Raiders: he repeatedly asked for help, assuming no one outside the game would actually respond.
As it turned out, a neighbor heard Nick yelling and came to check on him, which made things pretty uncomfortable for everyone.
Neighbor worried about NICKMERCS after intense Arc Raiders game
While Nick was playing, his neighbor peeked in to see what was going on, and Nick had to explain he was just yelling at his teammates in the game, Arc Raiders.
“I’m yelling at my stream, I’m sorry. Thank you!”
NICKMERCS said a neighbor offered him help while walking around, and it was someone he didn’t know.

I told him my friend and I were injured and needed assistance, but he just approached the window screen!
It’s happened before: a streamer’s noisy gameplay has unexpectedly led to people offering help in real life, even when they didn’t need it.
In 2022, a Twitch streamer playing Apex Legends asked his teammates for help, and the situation escalated to the point where the police were called to his house.
