Dallas Cowboys at Washington Commanders – NFL Week 17 Results According to Madden 26

| DAL | 7 | 17 | 3 | 3 | 30 |
| WAS | 3 | 0 | 3 | 3 | 9 |
The Dallas Cowboys take down the Washington Commanders on Christmas.
Now that both teams are out of playoff contention, there isn’t much to analyze from this game. Washington’s offense, led by third-string quarterback Josh Johnson, also didn’t offer much excitement.
Johnson’s performance was typical, with no touchdown passes and two interceptions as his team lost the game. The Commanders struggled to score, managing only three field goals throughout the entire game.
Dallas had a strong first half offensively, scoring three touchdowns – two from passes by Dak Prescott and one rushing touchdown by Javonte Williams. Their offense became less effective in the second half, relying heavily on running plays. Despite this, they added two field goals, tying the score with Washington.
Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings – NFL Week 17 Results According to Madden 26
| TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| DET | 14 | 3 | 0 | 7 | 24 |
| MIN | 0 | 7 | 7 | 0 | 14 |
The Vikings, led by Max Brosmer, played a competitive game, but Detroit ultimately won, staying in contention for the playoffs.
The Lions started the game strong. Jahmyr Gibbs scored a touchdown on a 26-yard pass during their first possession. Shortly after, Aidan Hutchinson forced a fumble by Aaron Jones, which Detroit capitalized on with another touchdown.
Brosmer ultimately drove the Vikings down the field, connecting with Justin Jefferson for a 13-yard touchdown pass, bringing the score to 14-7. However, the Lions added a field goal just before halftime, increasing their lead.
Man, Detroit’s offense totally stalled out in the third quarter – they couldn’t get anything going! But luckily, Jones Sr. made up for that earlier fumble with a nine-yard touchdown run, and suddenly it was a close game again.
The Lions’ defense consistently shut down the opposing team, and a crucial penalty for pass interference moved the Lions close to the end zone. Shortly after, David Montgomery ran the ball in for the winning touchdown.
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs – NFL Week 17 Results According to Madden 26
| TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| DEN | 7 | 6 | 7 | 7 | 27 |
| KC | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
The Chiefs are shutout on Christmas as the Broncos remain #1 in the AFC.
Chris Oladokun had a challenging first NFL start against a strong Denver defense. While he threw three interceptions and the team didn’t score any points, it wasn’t entirely his fault. He was sacked four times, and the team as a whole struggled to run the ball, gaining only 46 rushing yards.
The Broncos played well for most of the game, scoring in each of the first three quarters. However, they didn’t truly take control until the fourth quarter. Quarterback Bo Nix had a strong performance, scoring three touchdowns, including a four-yard scramble that extended their lead to 27-0.
Houston Texans at Los Angeles Chargers – NFL Week 17 Results According to Madden 26
| TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | OT | FINAL |
| HOU | 3 | 13 | 0 | 6 | 6 | 28 |
| LAC | 0 | 7 | 7 | 8 | 0 | 22 |
The Chargers overcame a 16-7 disadvantage, but ultimately lost the game in overtime after a late rally by their opponents in the final two minutes of regulation.
The Houston Texans’ defense started strong, allowing the team to jump to a 13-0 lead. While quarterback Justin Herbert didn’t lose possession of the ball, he had a tough time against Houston’s defensive backs throughout the first half, completing only seven of his eighteen pass attempts.
Things started to shift when the Chargers began chipping away at the lead. A touchdown catch by Ladd McConkey suddenly made it a close game again – the Texans were only up by two! But Houston quickly answered with another touchdown early in the fourth quarter, though they surprisingly missed the extra point. That missed opportunity really hurt them in the end.
With just 36 seconds remaining, Herbert threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Quentin Johnston. Omarion Hampton then ran in for a two-point conversion, tying the game and forcing overtime.
The game was scoreless until the final two minutes. Then, the Texans’ quarterback, C.J. Stroud, threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Nico Collins on a crucial third down, securing the win. This victory keeps the Texans in contention to win their division, the AFC South.
Baltimore Ravens at Green Bay Packers – NFL Week 17 Results According to Madden 26
| TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| BAL | 7 | 0 | 7 | 10 | 24 |
| GB | 7 | 13 | 0 | 3 | 23 |
The Ravens overcome a 20-7 deficit at the half to overcome the Green Bay Packers.
Even though both teams’ quarterbacks were injured, we chose to have Lamar Jackson and Jordan Love play anyway, hoping for an exciting game. It definitely delivered, and the outcome wasn’t decided until the very end!
Derrick Henry quickly put the Ravens on the board with a touchdown on their first drive. However, Baltimore’s offense then struggled, and didn’t score again until late in the third quarter. During that time, the Packers racked up 20 straight points. Zay Flowers caught a touchdown pass that narrowed the Packers’ lead to 20-14 as the third quarter ended.
Man, that game was a nail-biter! Tyler Loop hit a field goal that put us up 20-17 with about twelve minutes left. The Packers tried to answer, but they could only manage a field goal after burning up five minutes of clock. Then, with just over a minute to go, Jackson really took over, driving us all the way down the field. And finally, with only 29 seconds left, Mark Andrews caught the winning touchdown pass – a 14-yarder that sealed the deal! What a finish!
Love was able to get the Packers down the field to the opponent’s 47-yard line, but two incomplete passes ended their attempt at a last-second, long-shot touchdown (a Hail Mary).
Arizona Cardinals at Cincinnati Bengals – NFL Week 17 Results According to Madden 26
| TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| ARI | 7 | 3 | 3 | 0 | 13 |
| CIN | 7 | 14 | 7 | 7 | 35 |
The Cincinnati Bengals pick up another win as they beat the Arizona Cardinals.
Since neither team was competing for a playoff spot, this game wasn’t particularly exciting. Similar to the previous week, the Bengals’ offense played very well, and their defense held up their end of the bargain.
Arizona started strong and briefly took the lead 10-7 early in the second quarter. However, Joe Burrow quickly led the Bengals to two consecutive touchdowns, putting them ahead for the remainder of the game. Although Arizona managed another field goal in the third quarter to make it 21-13, the Bengals responded with two more unanswered touchdowns.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns – NFL Week 17 Results According to Madden 26
| TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| PIT | 3 | 10 | 7 | 6 | 26 |
| CLE | 7 | 6 | 3 | 0 | 16 |
The Pittsburgh Steelers clinch the AFC North with a win over the Cleveland Browns.
Shedeur Sanders connected with Harold Fannin Jr. for a 25-yard touchdown pass early in the first quarter. However, Pittsburgh quickly responded with a touchdown run by Jaylen Warren, regaining the lead. The first half saw both teams trading field goals, ending in a tie.
Cleveland briefly regained the lead with a field goal in the third quarter, but that was their final score. The Steelers then responded with 13 straight points, building a comfortable lead.
Shedeur Sanders played well in the first half, scoring a touchdown and gaining 135 yards. However, he threw two interceptions after halftime. The second interception was caught by Jalen Ramsay, who ran it back 28 yards for a touchdown, giving Pittsburgh a 20-16 lead.
New Orleans Saints at Tennessee Titans – NFL Week 17 Results According to Madden 26
| TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| NO | 7 | 3 | 10 | 3 | 23 |
| TEN | 3 | 7 | 0 | 7 | 17 |
The New Orleans Saints continue to win games with Tyler Shough under center.
Okay, so I watched the Saints and Titans game, and it was actually a pretty fun QB duel between Shough and Cam Ward, even though it didn’t really matter for the playoffs. The Saints came out strong in the first quarter, but the Titans quickly caught up in the second. Both young quarterbacks managed to throw a touchdown before halftime, which was cool to see.
New Orleans gained the upper hand in the third quarter, scoring 10 straight points to go ahead 20-10. Running back Audric Estime ran for a one-yard touchdown, and kicker Charlie Smyth made a 48-yard field goal.
Things got really exciting when our quarterback, Ward, connected with Van Jefferson for a beautiful 17-yard touchdown! The Saints tried to answer with another touchdown drive, but they ended up kicking a field goal instead, bringing the score to 23-17. It was still anyone’s game!
Despite reaching the New Orleans 24-yard line, the Titans failed to convert on fourth down and turned the ball over. The Saints’ defense then effectively shut down any attempt by Tennessee to score and make a comeback.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts – NFL Week 17 Results According to Madden 26
| TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| JAX | 7 | 10 | 14 | 3 | 34 |
| IND | 0 | 7 | 7 | 7 | 21 |
Jacksonville gets one step closer to clinching the division with a win over the Colts.
Trevor Lawrence continued his impressive streak this week, throwing for over 320 yards and three touchdowns without any interceptions. Over the past four weeks, he’s thrown 12 touchdowns and hasn’t thrown a single interception, and the game against the Colts was no exception.
Philip Rivers, the Colts’ quarterback, had a decent game, though one of his touchdowns came late in the game when the outcome was already decided. He finished with two touchdowns, one interception, and 257 passing yards, but the Colts still lost.
After Lawrence connected with Brenton Strange for a three-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter, putting the score at 31-14, the game was effectively decided. While there was still time left, it became obvious the Colts’ defense couldn’t stop the Jaguars’ offense.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Miami Dolphins – NFL Week 17 Results According to Madden 26
| TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| TB | 7 | 7 | 3 | 3 | 20 |
| MIA | 0 | 0 | 3 | 10 | 13 |
The Buccaneers ended their three-game losing streak and boosted their chances of making the playoffs with a victory against Miami.
Tampa Bay’s defense had a strong performance against the rookie quarterback, Quinn Ewers. They capitalized on his inexperience, forcing him to throw two interceptions – one right on the first play of the game – ultimately contributing to their win.
The Buccaneers’ offense wasn’t great, but they scored two touchdowns in the first half. Although turnovers hindered their progress, they still added two field goals to their score.
Late in the fourth quarter, Ewers threw his first career touchdown pass, bringing the score within one possession. However, it wasn’t enough time for his team to complete a comeback.
New England Patriots at New York Jets – NFL Week 17 Results According to Madden 26
| TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| NE | 7 | 0 | 7 | 14 | 28 |
| NYJ | 0 | 14 | 0 | 0 | 14 |
Brady Cook and the Jets nearly had the Patriots on a tight rope, but couldn’t hold on in the end.
The Jets tied the game after Breece Hall ran for a 41-yard touchdown early in the second quarter. Then, after a Patriots fumble recovered by the Jets at the Patriots’ 27-yard line, Zach Wilson connected with Adonai Mitchell for a 17-yard touchdown pass, giving the Jets the lead.
The Patriots bounced back from some early errors, particularly on defense. They didn’t allow the Jets to score at all in the second half, while their own offense put up three consecutive touchdowns. A key play was a 50-yard touchdown catch by Stefon Diggs, which put New England ahead 21-14.
Man, I was so hyped when Rhamondre Stevenson ran it in for four yards and sealed the win for the Patriots! This victory keeps our hopes alive for potentially finishing as the number one team in the AFC, which is awesome!
Seattle Seahawks at Carolina Panthers – NFL Week 17 Results According to Madden 26
| TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| SEA | 7 | 14 | 7 | 3 | 31 |
| CAR | 7 | 7 | 0 | 7 | 21 |
The Seattle Seahawks keep hold of the NFC West throne as they beat the Panthers 31-21.
Both teams had strong offenses in the first half. Carolina’s Bryce Young threw for two touchdowns, allowing the Panthers to stay competitive with Seattle. However, the Seahawks took a slight lead when Sam Darnold connected with Jaxon Smith-Njigba for a 21-yard touchdown with just 40 seconds left before halftime.
The Panthers had trouble staying competitive in the second half, as the Seahawks added 10 points to their lead. While Seattle’s offense wasn’t as strong as it had been earlier, they still controlled the ball for most of the time.
Although Rico Dowdle scored a three-yard touchdown, bringing the score to 31-21, the Carolina Panthers now need to focus on their playoff push. Their final regular season game against the Buccaneers will determine who earns the top spot in Week 18.
New York Giants at Las Vegas Raiders – NFL Week 17 Results According to Madden 26
| TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| NYG | 0 | 7 | 3 | 0 | 10 |
| LV | 0 | 10 | 0 | 7 | 17 |
Ashton Jeanty’s late TD helps the Raiders beat the Giants.
With both teams out of playoff contention, there isn’t much at stake. Jaxson Dart is still having a tough time, and it’s even harder for him without key players like Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo on the field.
The Raiders’ offense struggled somewhat, as Geno Smith threw three interceptions compared to only one touchdown. Two of those interceptions directly led to points for the Jets. However, running back Ashton Jeanty had a good game, rushing for 84 yards and a touchdown on 20 attempts, and adding 26 yards on three receptions.
With the score tied 10-10 late in the fourth quarter, Jeanty ran for a 1-yard touchdown, putting the Raiders ahead. Shortly after, Dart threw an interception, securing the victory for Vegas.
Philadelphia Eagles at Buffalo Bills – NFL Week 17 Results According to Madden 26
| TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| PHI | 6 | 7 | 14 | 7 | 34 |
| BUF | 3 | 13 | 0 | 6 | 22 |
The Eagles extend their win streak to three games after picking up a big win against the Bills.
Philadelphia won their division last week when they defeated Washington. Now, they have a chance to improve their playoff position by moving up to the #2 seed, which would give them a more favorable path through the playoffs.
Saquon Barkley continued his strong performance, rushing for 140 yards and two touchdowns in the team’s victory. He opened the scoring with a 15-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
Buffalo initially took the lead with a four-yard touchdown run by James Cook III, but they failed to add the extra point. Philadelphia quickly responded with a touchdown reception by Dallas Goedert, regaining the lead. Before halftime, Buffalo scored again when Josh Allen connected with Khalil Shakir for a five-yard touchdown, putting them ahead.
The Eagles completely took control in the second half, scoring two touchdowns without the opposing team responding. Key plays included long receptions from A.J. Brown for 26 yards and Devonta Smith for 42 yards.
Trailing 27-16, Josh Allen ran for a 12-yard touchdown, but the following two-point attempt fell incomplete. However, it didn’t change the outcome, as Barkley’s 2-yard touchdown run extended the Eagles’ lead to 34-22.
Chicago Bears at San Francisco 49ers – NFL Week 17 Results According to Madden 26
| TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| CHI | 0 | 7 | 7 | 10 | 24 |
| SF | 7 | 10 | 7 | 3 | 27 |
The 49ers’ prevent a comeback from Chicago as they win their 12th game of the season.
Christian McCaffrey started the scoring with a 38-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter. D’Andre Swift answered quickly with a touchdown of his own. However, the Bears couldn’t score again for the rest of the half, and the 49ers added 10 more points.
Both teams scored a touchdown in the third quarter: McCaffrey ran for his second touchdown of the game, and Caleb Williams connected with Rome Odunze for a 19-yard touchdown pass. Chicago then narrowed the gap with a 36-yard field goal by Cairo Santos, bringing the score within one possession.
Leading 24-17, the 49ers extended their lead with a 51-yard field goal by Eddy Pineiro, making the score 27-17. With ten minutes remaining in the game, the Bears still had a chance. They did manage to score again on a touchdown reception by D.J. Moore, but a late interception by Justin Fields on their final drive secured the win for the 49ers and ended Chicago’s comeback attempt.
Los Angeles Rams at Atlanta Falcons – NFL Week 17 Results According to Madden 26
| TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
| LAR | 14 | 3 | 10 | 10 | 37 |
| ATL | 0 | 10 | 3 | 7 | 20 |
The L.A. Rams keep fighting for a chance to win the NFC West with a dominant win over the Falcons.
Matthew Stafford played exceptionally well against the Rams, throwing for three touchdowns and leading his team to victory. The Rams started strong, jumping to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, but Atlanta battled back with 10 points in the second. Atlanta’s defense also stepped up, limiting the Rams to only three points during that same quarter.
The Rams extended their lead to 17-10 in the third quarter when Stafford connected with Puka Nacua for a 23-yard touchdown. Both teams then kicked field goals, bringing the score to 27-13 in favor of the Rams. Atlanta’s Bijan Robinson briefly narrowed the gap with a seven-yard touchdown run, but that was the last time the Falcons scored in the game.
Man, things got crazy in the fourth quarter! L.A. just kept the ball and ran down the clock, scoring ten points without letting us get a single play in. Their touchdown drive, finished off by Kyren Williams, took over six minutes! It felt like they just completely controlled the game at that point.
That concludes our look at the results from NFL Week 17, as simulated in Madden 26. We hope you enjoyed the predictions, and we’re excited to see how accurate the game turns out to be! No matter what happens, it’s always fun to see what surprising events Madden forecasts.
