The L.A. Rams manage to sweep the Seahawks in another close game. This time, it went to Overtime.

Los Angeles scored first with a 16-yard touchdown catch by Puka Nacua. Seattle responded in the second quarter with a 13-yard touchdown run by Kenneth Walker III, tying the game. The Rams then regained the lead with a field goal, giving them a 10-7 advantage at halftime.

Los Angeles increased their lead with another touchdown, a run by Kyren Williams, and both teams then kicked field goals, bringing the score to 20-10. However, Seattle fought back, scoring 10 points in the fourth quarter. Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught a touchdown pass, and Jason Myers made a field goal with only 25 seconds left on the clock.

The game took another turn in Los Angeles’ favor during overtime. Although the Rams had to punt, Sam Darnold quickly threw an interception. The Rams capitalized on this mistake, moving 22 yards down the field to kick a winning field goal.

Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Commanders – NFL Week 16 Results According to Madden 26

TEAM 1st Quarter 2nd Quarter 3rd Quarter 4th Quarter FINAL
PHI 0 10 7 7 24
WAS 3 7 3 3 16

The Eagles win their first of two bouts against the Commanders on Saturday Night.

The Washington Commanders’ defense played well against the Eagles, limiting them to only 17 points. However, the Commanders’ offense, led by Marcus Mariota, had a difficult game, with their only touchdown drive being a bright spot. Mariota was sacked five times, and one of those sacks resulted in a fumble recovered by Nakobe Dean for a touchdown.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ offense struggled, but tight end Dallas Goedert helped keep them in the game, consistently moving the chains with five first-down receptions. He finished with eight catches for 95 yards and a touchdown. Running back Saquon Barkley had a quiet game overall, with most of his impact coming from a 22-yard touchdown run early in the second half. He rushed for 66 yards on 17 carries and added 9 receiving yards on 3 catches.

The Commanders kicked a field goal late in the game to get within one score, but couldn’t regain possession with the onside kick. This win clinches the NFC East title for the Eagles.

Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears – NFL Week 16 Results According to Madden 26

TEAM 1st Quarter 2nd Quarter 3rd Quarter 4th Quarter FINAL
GB 7 7 0 7 21
CHI 7 0 7 10 24

The Chicago Bears avoid a sweep from the Packers while strengthening their hold over the NFC North.

Both teams scored touchdowns in the first quarter, with Josh Jacobs and Kyle Monangai each running one in. However, Green Bay went ahead before halftime when Jordan Love threw a touchdown pass to Romeo Doubs.

The Bears added 10 points in the second half, highlighted by a touchdown pass from Caleb Williams to Cole Kmet. However, the Packers quickly responded with a nine-yard touchdown pass from Jordan Love to Jayden Reed.

Trailing 21-17, the Bears used up a lot of time on their final drive, which ended with a five-yard touchdown pass from Williams to D.J. Moore. The Packers then had a chance to tie the game, but couldn’t advance the ball. As a result, the Bears won the home game without needing a field goal attempt from Brandon McManus.

Buffalo Bills at Cleveland Browns – NFL Week 16 Results According to Madden 26

TEAM 1st Quarter 2nd Quarter 3rd Quarter 4th Quarter FINAL
BUF 14 14 10 3 41
CLE 0 0 0 7 7

The Buffalo Bills dominate the Cleveland Browns as they try to fight for that top spot in the East.

The Bills completely controlled the game from start to finish. Cleveland didn’t manage to score at all until late in the fourth quarter. Rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders struggled, throwing two interceptions and being sacked five times. The Bills’ defense also shut down Cleveland’s running game, limiting running back Quinshon Judkins to just 45 yards on 14 attempts, and he fumbled the ball in the second quarter.

Josh Allen didn’t throw the ball very much, only 19 times, but he was efficient, completing 16 passes for 229 yards and two touchdowns. The defense created three turnovers, which made it easier for the offense to score without needing long drives down the field.

James Cook III had a great game, running for 97 yards and scoring three touchdowns to help his team win. His longest run, a 20-yard touchdown, extended their lead to 38-0.

Los Angeles Chargers at Dallas Cowboys – NFL Week 16 Results According to Madden 26

TEAM 1st Quarter 2nd Quarter 3rd Quarter 4th Quarter FINAL
LAC 10 6 3 6 25
DAL 0 10 7 7 24

The Chargers win another close one that strengthens their chances of making the playoffs.

Los Angeles started the game strong, going up 10-0 before Dallas scored with a 44-yard touchdown pass from Dak Prescott to George Pickens. Both teams then exchanged field goals, bringing the score to 13-10, and the Chargers added another field goal just before halftime.

Dallas briefly went ahead in the third quarter with a 1-yard touchdown run by Javonte Williams. However, Cameron Dicker then made his fourth field goal of the game, putting his team back in the lead at 19-17.

The Chargers’ lead increased when Omarion Hampton ran for an eight-yard touchdown with 8:25 remaining in the game. Although they didn’t succeed with the extra two-point attempt, they still held a comfortable two-possession advantage.

The Cowboys managed to score again with just over two minutes remaining, but they couldn’t regain possession of the ball, ending their season.

Kansas City Chiefs at Tennessee Titans – NFL Week 16 Results According to Madden 26

TEAM 1st Quarter 2nd Quarter 3rd Quarter 4th Quarter FINAL
KC 3 10 0 3 16
TEN 0 3 7 7 17

The Titans win their third game of the season against the Gardner Minshew-led Chiefs.

Without Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City offense struggled, as expected. However, a strong performance by their defense allowed them to build a 13-3 lead by halftime. Travis Kelce scored the team’s only touchdown and finished with 77 receiving yards on 7 catches.

The offense struggled in the second half, managing only three points in the final 30 minutes. Tennessee capitalized on this, gradually fighting their way back into the game. Late in the third quarter, running back Tony Pollard scored a 1-yard touchdown, bringing the score to 13-10.

The Chiefs added a field goal midway through the fourth quarter to build a small lead. However, with just 44 seconds remaining, Titans quarterback Cam Ward connected with Tyjae Spears for a three-yard touchdown, giving Tennessee a late victory.

The next drive saw Minshew sacked twice, and then he threw an incomplete pass on fourth down, ending the possession.

Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins – NFL Week 16 Results According to Madden 26

TEAM 1st Quarter 2nd Quarter 3rd Quarter 4th Quarter FINAL
CIN 7 7 3 10 27
MIA 0 7 3 7 17

Joe Burrow and the Bengals sail past the Dolphins as they win in Week 16.

With no playoff implications, this game didn’t have much on the line. Joe Burrow played well, throwing two touchdowns without any turnovers, leading his team to victory. Unfortunately, Tua Tagovailoa had a tougher game, throwing an interception late in the fourth quarter when his team was trailing.

Ja’Marr Chase’s 13-yard touchdown catch late in the fourth quarter sealed the win. Miami managed a late touchdown, but the final score was 27-17.

New York Jets at New Orleans Saints – NFL Week 16 Results According to Madden 26

TEAM 1st Quarter 2nd Quarter 3rd Quarter 4th Quarter FINAL
NYJ 0 3 0 10 13
NO 3 7 7 3 20

Tyler Shough leads the Saints to their third win in a row after beating the Jets 20-13.

It’s disappointing that New Orleans won’t make the playoffs, especially after they stirred things up in the NFC South with recent wins against Carolina and Tampa Bay. Those victories definitely made the division race much more interesting.

The Saints easily defeated the Jets. They built a 17-3 lead by the end of the third quarter and maintained control for the rest of the game. Although Brady Cook threw a touchdown pass to narrow the gap, a subsequent field goal by the Saints quickly extended their lead again.

Minnesota Vikings at New York Giants – NFL Week 16 Results According to Madden 26

TEAM 1st Quarter 2nd Quarter 3rd Quarter 4th Quarter FINAL
MIN 0 14 7 7 28
NYG 7 0 7 0 14

J.J. McCarthy defeats his third NFC East opponent in a row as the Vikings improve to 7-8.

Similar to their last three games, this contest didn’t affect either team’s playoff chances – it only mattered for their draft order. The Giants got off to a promising start with a rushing touchdown by rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, but the Vikings quickly responded. Minnesota scored 21 straight points thanks to two touchdown passes from Kirk McCarthy and a rushing touchdown by Aaron Jones Sr.

Okay, so the Giants did manage to close the gap a little when Darius Slayton caught a touchdown! But unfortunately, we couldn’t get anything going after that. Their quarterback, Jones, ran in another touchdown, and that pretty much sealed our fate. It was a tough one to watch.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers – NFL Week 16 Results According to Madden 26

TEAM 1st Quarter 2nd Quarter 3rd Quarter 4th Quarter FINAL
TB 3 10 7 6 26
CAR 7 0 0 7 14

The Buccaneers keep hold of their lead in the NFC South with a win over the Panthers.

Bryce Young and the Panthers had a promising start with a touchdown pass to Xavier Legette on their first drive. However, the offense couldn’t maintain that momentum. The Buccaneers, on the other hand, went on a scoring run, putting up 23 unanswered points with two touchdowns from Baker Mayfield.

Carolina scored another touchdown when Young connected with Jalen Coker for a 15-yard pass. However, the Buccaneers then added a field goal after a long drive. Despite winning today, the Buccaneers will play the Panthers again in a couple of weeks.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos – NFL Week 16 Results According to Madden 26

TEAM 1st Quarter 2nd Quarter 3rd Quarter 4th Quarter FINAL
JAX 7 10 7 7 31
DEN 10 10 7 6 33

The Denver Broncos win another close game as they hold off the Jaguars.

This game featured a lot of scoring and few punts. Denver managed three touchdowns and three field goals, staying competitive with Jacksonville. Bo Nix threw two touchdown passes to help secure the win.

The Jaguars consistently stayed competitive throughout the game. Although they trailed in the first half, they briefly took the lead after Travis Etienne Jr. scored his second touchdown. Denver quickly responded, however, with a touchdown run by R.J. Harvey to regain the lead.

The Broncos briefly increased their lead with a field goal, but the Jaguars then took the lead when Trevor Lawrence connected with Jakobi Meyers for a touchdown with 3:41 remaining. However, that still left Denver with enough time to mount a drive of their own. They finished it off with a 29-yard field goal as time expired, securing the win.

Atlanta Falcons at Arizona Cardinals – NFL Week 16 Results According to Madden 26

TEAM 1st Quarter 2nd Quarter 3rd Quarter 4th Quarter FINAL
ATL 7 13 7 3 30
ARI 7 0 10 3 20

The Atlanta Falcons won against the Arizona Cardinals, marking their first winning streak of the season.

Since the game didn’t affect playoff standings, there isn’t much to analyze. Two costly turnovers by Arizona – a fumble during a kickoff return and an interception thrown by Jacoby Brissett – ultimately decided the game, giving Atlanta 10 easy points and preventing a potentially close contest.

Atlanta took an early 20-7 lead and held on for the win, despite a few close moments. A late field goal by Zane Gonzales sealed the victory over the Cardinals.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Detroit Lions – NFL Week 16 Results According to Madden 26

TEAM 1st Quarter 2nd Quarter 3rd Quarter 4th Quarter FINAL
PIT 7 7 10 3 27
DET 7 10 7 7 31

The Detroit Lions keep their postseason hopes alive with a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The game was incredibly close from start to finish. Despite the loss, Aaron Rodgers had a strong performance, throwing three touchdown passes with only one interception. Jared Goff also played well for Detroit, but the biggest contributions came from running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, who were key to their success.

Gibbs and Montgomery together rushed for 173 yards. Gibbs scored a 40-yard touchdown in the third quarter, giving Detroit a 24-17 lead. However, Pittsburgh quickly tied the game when D.K. Metcalf caught a 12-yard touchdown pass from Rodgers.

The Steelers’ offense had a difficult fourth quarter, scoring only three points in the final fifteen minutes. To make matters worse, Rodgers threw an interception during their last drive, ending their chance to win.

A late touchdown run by Montgomery put Detroit ahead 31-27, keeping their playoff chances alive.

Las Vegas Raiders at Houston Texans – NFL Week 16 Results According to Madden 26

TEAM 1st Quarter 2nd Quarter 3rd Quarter 4th Quarter FINAL
LV 0 3 3 0 6
HOU 7 14 7 7 35

The Houston Texans obliterate the Raiders as they hold on to their playoff spot.

Since Geno Smith’s availability for Week 16 was questionable, we went with Kenny Pickett as our quarterback. However, even if Geno had played, we likely wouldn’t have won, as the Texans were playing exceptionally well.

C.J. Stroud had an impressive game, throwing for 299 yards and four touchdowns to lead his team to victory. Wide receiver Nico Collins was a key contributor, with two touchdowns and 137 receiving yards on nine catches, and the offense as a whole played very well.

The Raiders’ offense, with Kenny Pickett as quarterback, showed a little improvement from the previous week. They were finally able to put some points on the board, but it wasn’t enough to make a real difference. They fell behind 14-0 before scoring their first field goal, and were down 28-3 after their second. Ultimately, they were simply outmatched.

New England Patriots at Baltimore Ravens – NFL Week 16 Results According to Madden 26

TEAM 1st Quarter 2nd Quarter 3rd Quarter 4th Quarter FINAL
NE 7 0 3 0 10
BAL 0 13 7 3 23

The Ravens keep their postseason hopes alive with a win over the Patriots.

New England scored first with a 19-yard touchdown pass from Drake Maye to Stefon Diggs. However, Baltimore’s defense quickly adjusted, holding the Patriots to only three more points for the remainder of the game.

Lamar Jackson and the Ravens gradually increased their lead throughout the game. A 24-yard touchdown pass to Zay Flowers gave them a 20-10 advantage at the end of the third quarter, and a field goal midway through the fourth quarter appeared to seal the victory.

San Francisco 49ers at Indianapolis Colts – NFL Week 16 Results According to Madden 26

TEAM 1st Quarter 2nd Quarter 3rd Quarter 4th Quarter FINAL
SF 7 6 3 20 36
IND 3 3 10 3 19

The 49ers’ offense came alive in the fourth quarter, allowing them to secure a hard-fought win against the Colts.

Okay, so Rivers was alright in his second game back – 19 for 30, 172 yards, no big plays or mistakes. Honestly, the biggest issue for the Colts wasn’t really Rivers, it was that we kept settling for field goals. We were moving the ball well, especially with JT – he had 23 carries for 95 yards and a touchdown – but we just couldn’t punch it in for six points when we got close. We need to finish those drives!

For the first three quarters, the San Francisco 49ers’ offense struggled in the red zone. They reached the red zone four times but only managed one touchdown, kicking three field goals instead.

The fourth quarter saw a quick shift in momentum. George Kittle started things off with a 28-yard touchdown catch, bringing the score to 23-16. The Colts responded with a field goal, making it 23-19 with over 11 minutes left in the game. Then, Christian McCaffrey broke off a massive 63-yard run, putting the 49ers right at the Colts’ 9-yard line. Just two plays later, Ricky Pearsall caught a 2-yard touchdown pass.

Man, after the Colts offense stalled really quickly, the 49ers marched down the field and scored again. Brian Robinson Jr. punched it in from seven yards out for a touchdown, and suddenly it was 36-19. It felt like they were really starting to pull away!

That concludes our look at the Week 16 NFL results as predicted by Madden 26. We hope you enjoyed the read and are excited to see how accurate the game turns out to be! No matter what happens, we’re eager to see what surprising predictions Madden 26 makes in the future.
