NetherRealm Studios has unveiled a fresh gameplay trailer for the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 guest character. This trailer is part of the ongoing Khaos Reigns expansion, which started rolling out new and returning fighters since its launch in September 2024.
In the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 game, the formidable Cimmerian warrior Conan the Barbarian – famously portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1982 film adaptation – will make his debut as a guest fighter. Beginning later this January, players who own the Khaos Reign expansion can expect to welcome him into Earthrealm. A sneak peek at Conan’s combat skills has already been shared with fans, offering a glimpse of what’s to come.
In a recent announcement, it was revealed that Conan the Barbarian is set to appear as a new fighter in Mortal Kombat 1. The gameplay trailer additionally verified that Conan has Fatalities and possibly hinted at his Animality, where this barbarian character transforms into a bull and obliterates his adversaries. Players who haven’t acquired Animalities in Mortal Kombat 1 can get it for free as an update, which was released simultaneously with the Khaos Reign expansion back in September.
