After Schreier shared news on BlueSky, many players expressed confusion, with one asking if New World hadn’t recently started gaining players. It appears the game was finally starting to improve and attract more players, but it won’t have the opportunity to fully recover and grow.
The team behind New World announced today that Season 10 and the Nighthaven update will be the game’s last major content release. While they plan to keep the game servers running through 2026, its future beyond that date is uncertain.
