New Star Wars Outlaws Update Adds Performance Optimizations, Ubisoft Connect Challenge & More Changes

As a die-hard Star Wars Outlaws fan with countless hours spent blasting stormtroopers and swindling gamorreans across the galaxy, this latest Title Update 1.5.0 has left me absolutely giddy! I’ve had my fair share of crashes on Amazon Luna and NVIDIA GeForce Now, so seeing those issues addressed in this patch fills me with joy.

The much-anticipated update for Massive Entertainment’s Star Wars Outlaws, a galactic action-adventure game, has been released early. Players can now download Title Update 1.5.0 to update their current game version. This update was officially announced on the game’s social media platforms on December 12, 2024. The patch notes for this update detail various issues in core gameplay, accessibility, performance, and technical aspects that have been resolved, particularly addressing crashes experienced by Amazon Luna and NVIDIA GeForce Now players.

Update Title Version 1.5.0 incorporated a variety of overall modifications and problem resolutions applicable across consoles and computers. Players observed that the update file size varies between 6.32GB to 7.5GB according to their device type. The comprehensive changes encompass improvements in general gameplay, technical aspects, environments, and specific features such as Photo Mode and Sabacc.

Beyond that, improvements tailored specifically for the PlayStation 5 version have been made with this update. It includes new features for the PS5 Pro, such as the Upscaler Type which gives users the ability to switch between PSSR and FSR settings, and also offers three graphics options exclusive to the PS5. Additionally, a Quality (60 FPS) mode for the PS5 Pro is now available.

New balance changes were made to more base game quests on Akiva, Canto Bight, Kijimi, Tatooine, and Toshara, and some changes were also made to the Wild Card DLC quests. Finally, the developer has added a new Ubisoft Connect Challenge available between 12th December 2024 and 9th January 2025, which utilizes the Photo Mode feature, in which players are to snap a photograph on Kijimi, which completing it unlocks a festive cosmetic for Nix.
