I’m so excited – Steam has a new game everyone’s talking about! It’s called Necesse, a survival game that officially launched last Thursday after being in development for a while. It’s really taken off!
- Version 1.0 is achieving impressive activity results. Last weekend, it set a new record with 29,440 players playing concurrently on Steam.
- Such great popularity only came with version 1.0. The previous record, with around 12,000 players online at the same time, was set back in January during a free weekend event. Now, the paid version has more than doubled that result.
- The game is receiving very positive reviews on Steam. Among the reviews from the last 30 days, 90% praise Necesse. Considering all reviews since its launch in Early Access, 93% of them are positive.
- The game’s popularity is greatly aided by its low price. Right now, Necesse can be purchased on Steam for $7.49 as part of a 50% discount. The offer will expire on October 30.

Necesse is a survival game where you build settlements and explore a vast world filled with dungeons, monsters, and valuable resources. You can mine ores, craft tools and equipment, and even hire villagers to automate tasks and help your settlement thrive.
You can play this game by yourself or with others. It’s best suited for small groups, but the server can actually support up to 250 players if you want to go bigger.

Necesse triumphs at Pax Dei
The online game Pax Dei officially launched on October 16th, moving out of its Early Access phase. However, it seems Necesse has proven more popular. Pax Dei hasn’t been well-received, with only about half of recent reviews being positive, and player numbers are low – it peaked at around 5,700 concurrent players over the weekend.
The game didn’t reach its previous peak of just over 11,000 concurrent players, which it achieved 16 months ago. The current price of $23.99 likely contributed to this, as it’s more expensive than similar games like Necesse.
