Welcome to our look at the biggest and most exciting new releases coming to Steam! This week is packed with games – we’ve got a lot of smaller titles people are really looking forward to, plus some major updates for popular games.

Release of the week: Routine (December 4, 2025)

I can’t believe it! After waiting forever, it’s actually happening! This Thursday, Routine, that incredibly cool survival horror game set on a moon research station, is finally coming out. I’m so excited!

This project was first announced over a decade ago, and many people had begun to doubt it would ever actually come out. That’s why we’re so excited to feature it as our release of the week – we’re eager to see if it lives up to the hype!

Marvel Cosmic Invasion

Marvel Cosmic Invasion is a classic side-scrolling beat ’em up game, bringing the excitement of Marvel comics to life with vibrant pixel art.

Tribute Game, known for their popular title TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge (which has a 94% positive rating on Steam), developed this game.

December 2nd

Destiny 2: Renegades

Destiny 2 players are eagerly anticipating the upcoming Renegades expansion. The previous expansion wasn’t well-received, and many are now questioning whether Bungie has a clear vision for the game’s direction.

The DLC will offer a new storyline, game mode, missions, equipment, a dungeon, and a social hub.

iRacing Arcade

Okay, so I’ve been checking out iRacing Arcade, and it’s basically a more casual racing game made by the folks who created both iRacing and Circuit Superstars. They’re trying to blend the best parts of both those games into something a little easier to pick up and play, which is cool!

Kingdom of Night

Kingdom of Night is shaping up to be a great game. It’s an action role-playing game with a strong 80s horror vibe, set in a quiet American town that’s been taken over by evil forces.

Sleep Awake

Okay, so I just heard about this new game, Sleep Awake, and it sounds seriously cool. It’s an action-adventure game, but with a really creepy, psychological horror feel. The story drops you into this town that’s been completely taken over by a cult. What’s even more interesting is who’s making it – Cory Davis, who worked on Spec Ops: The Line, is directing, and Robin Finck from Nine Inch Nails is involved too! Definitely keeping an eye on this one.

Two Point Museum: Zooseum

The new Zooseum expansion for Two Point Museum is coming out tomorrow! It lets you build and run a unique place that’s part museum, part wildlife park – showcasing amazing animals as your exhibits.

American Truck Simulator: Louisiana

The Louisiana expansion for American Truck Simulator comes out on Wednesday, letting players explore the state of Louisiana.

Don’t Scream Together

Don’t Scream Together is a scary, cooperative game where you and your friends play as people lost in a dark forest. What makes it unique is that the sounds you make – like shouting – actually change how the game unfolds.

Ocean Keeper

So, I just checked out this game called Ocean Keeper, and it’s a blast if you’ve got friends! It’s a co-op game for up to four players where we play as deep-sea miners. Basically, we’re digging for stuff, but we also have to defend our mobile base – this big mech – from tons of monsters that keep coming at us. It’s a pretty hectic but fun experience!

Squad: Fireteam

If you enjoy the tactical shooter game Squad, the biggest news this week is the launch of the Fireteam expansion. This downloadable content adds a new cooperative mode featuring unique missions built for smaller teams.

December 4th

Blood: Refreshed Supply

Blood: Refreshed Supply, an updated version of the classic 1997 first-person shooter, comes to Steam on Thursday. The new release includes improvements to the original game, plus two brand new scenarios and a collection of behind-the-scenes content.

Cloudheim (Early Access)

Cloudheim is a cooperative action RPG set in a world after the events of Ragnarok, where players battle dangerous creatures. The game’s developers are focusing on a unique destruction system powered by advanced physics to make it stand out.

Elden Ring: Nightreign – The Forsaken Hollows

Elden Ring: Nightreign’s first expansion, The Forsaken Hollows, launches this Thursday. It introduces two new characters you can play as – the Scholar and the Undertaker – along with new bosses and a large new area called the Great Void. The Great Void is a vast pit filled with strange ruins and ancient temples.

Ferocious

Ferocious is a fast-paced shooting game that takes inspiration from the gameplay of games like Crysis and Far Cry, while creating a world reminiscent of films such as King Kong and Jurassic Park. Galactic Civilizations IV: Tales of the Terran Alliance

Players of the space strategy game Galactic Civilizations IV will be able to download the ‘Tales of the Terran Alliance’ expansion this Thursday. The new content focuses on the history of humanity and lets you play as the Xendar, who were humanity’s earliest rivals in space.

Total War: Warhammer III – Tides of Torment

Total War: Warhammer III players are eagerly awaiting the Tides of Torment expansion, which is coming soon. The expansion will add three powerful new leaders – one for the High Elves, one for Norsca, and one for the Slaanesh faction.

Okay, so I’ve been checking out Transience, and it’s a first-person shooter set pretty close to today. It’s not just about running and gunning though – you actually need to be smart and sneaky to get through it, which I’m really digging.

Angst: A Tale of Survival

Angst: A Tale of Survival is a survival game presented like a comic book. It features challenging, randomly generated gameplay – often called ‘roguelike’ – and you view the action from above as you attempt to survive in a snowy environment. The game was created by Cherrypick Games, a studio based in Poland.

Dungeon Rampage (Early Access)

Dungeon Rampage is a funny action RPG set in a fantasy world. You’ll battle waves of monsters controlled by a wicked mage. You can play the game by yourself or with up to three friends in cooperative mode.

This game might be a surprising hit this week. Out of all the new releases, only Ferocious currently has a larger fanbase on Steam.

Randal’s Tuesday

The sequel to the well-received game Randal’s Tuesday, simply titled Randal’s Tuesday, will be available this Friday. It’s a humorous point-and-click adventure game, and the original game has a 77% positive rating on Steam.
