New on Steam. Father of Valve’s biggest platform hit returns with survival game

Welcome to our show about the most anticipated games coming to Steam! It’s a quieter week for major publishers, but lots of smaller development teams are releasing exciting new titles, so there’s plenty to check out.

The release of the week is Prologue: Go Wayback! (Early A0ccess, November 20, 2025)

Prologue: Go Wayback! is a survival game played from a first-person perspective. You’ll start in a randomly created forest and need to make your way to a weather station while trying to stay alive.

Brendan Greene, the creator of the popular game PUBG: Battlegrounds – which continues to be Steam’s most active game – is the person leading this project.

Okay, so I’m super hyped for Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault! The first Moonlighter was awesome – it was this cool mix of action RPG where you’d dungeon crawl, then come back and run your own shop. It was a really unique idea. This new one looks even better because they’re ditching the pixel art and going full 3D, which I think will make the whole experience even more immersive. Project Thea (Early Access)

Okay, so I recently started playing Project Thea, and it’s seriously cool. It’s the third game in the series, and it’s a really unique mix – it feels like a strategy game, but with RPG elements, deck-building like a card game, and you’re constantly trying to survive. The setting is awesome too – it’s a post-apocalyptic world, but it’s based on Slavic mythology, so you’ve got humans and all sorts of creatures from those legends, and magic just blends with the tech that’s left over. It’s a really interesting world to explore!
