The Nintendo Switch 2 is set to finish 2025 with a great lineup of games. Two of the most awaited titles, *Kirby Air Riders* (November 20th) and *Metroid Prime 4: Beyond* (December 4th), are leading the charge, and both are getting official merchandise and new Amiibo figures soon. Plus, PowerA recently released wireless controllers themed after *Metroid* and *Kirby* that work with both the Switch and Switch 2, offering a good alternative to the standard Pro Controller. These controllers launched on August 27th and are available now on Amazon for $70 each – a perfect way for fans to celebrate before the new games and Amiibo arrive.
If you’re getting the new Metroid-themed PowerA Nintendo Switch controller, consider the matching Metroid Edition PowerA wired earbuds too. They’re a great deal at only $25 and perfectly complement the controller’s look. If you like the controller’s features but prefer a different style or want to save some money, check out the Mario Pop version. It’s the same controller with a colorful Mario design and is currently discounted to $36 (originally $60).
If you’re looking for more Pro Controller options, check out Turtle Beach. They now make controllers similar to PDP’s, and offer designs themed around games like Mario and Donkey Kong. The Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless Controller (Mario Bricks), launching October 12th, is a great example – it has a unique design that shifts as you move, plus motion controls and customizable back buttons. It’s a solid alternative to the PowerA controllers featuring Metroid and Kirby.
Okay, so Turtle Beach dropped another Rematch Wireless controller, and this one’s seriously cool – it’s got a Donkey Kong theme with awesome black and green art! If you’re into themed controllers, you should check it out. They also have the Invincible Mario and Super Mario Star versions available now, and I’m already eyeing those alongside my PowerA Metroid and Kirby controllers. Definitely worth a look if you’re building a collection!
It’s a fantastic time to reserve your copy of the upcoming Samus and Kirby games! Preorders are open for *Metroid Prime 4: Beyond*, arriving on Switch and the new Switch 2 on December 4th. Alongside the game, several new *Metroid Prime 4* Amiibo figures are available, including Varia Suit Samus and Samus with her Vi-Oh-La suit and motorcycle (releasing November 6th), plus a figure of the villain Sylux on December 4th. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Preorders
Kirby’s next adventure, Kirby Air Riders, comes out on November 20th and will only be available on the Switch 2. You can already reserve a physical copy from various online stores. Along with the game, new Amiibo figures are also being released, featuring Kirby & Warp Star and Banana Waddledee & Winged Star. Both the game and Amiibo figures will be available starting November 20th, and preorders are open now.

Don’t forget about *Pokémon Legends: Z-A*, another major Nintendo release coming to both Switch and the new Switch 2 on October 16th. You can pre-order it now! For those who haven’t gotten a Switch 2 yet, there’s a special bundle available for $500. This bundle includes the console and a digital copy of *Pokémon Legends: Z-A*.
