Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, and Blythe Danner are a dream team that has made us laugh, cringe, and empathize in equal measures over the years.

Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, and Blythe Danner are currently discussing potential roles for a future film within the “Meet the Parents” series.

In simple terms, John Hamburg is slated to draft the script. Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro will be in charge of production through Tribeca Productions. Jay Roach will handle production duties through Delirious Media. Ben Stiller and John Lesher will produce via Red Hour Films. Matt Reilly, the studio’s Executive Vice President of Production Development, along with Jacqueline Garrell, Director of Production Development, will supervise the project for the studio.

In 2000, the movie “Meet the Parents” earned more than $330 million worldwide, ranking it as the seventh highest-grossing film globally that year. The follow-ups, “Meet the Fockers” and “Little Fockers,” were also box office hits, resulting in a cumulative franchise total of over $1.13 billion in global ticket sales.

De Niro is managed by CAA, Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks; Stiller is handled by WME, ID, and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern; Polo is represented by Gersh, McGowan Rodriguez Management, and Kraditor & Haber; Danner is under Anonymous Content; and Hamburg is signed with WME and Sloss Eckhouse Dasti Haynes LawCo.
