ARC Raiders was originally planned as a free game, but it launched as a purchase title and still managed to sell over 4 million copies. The game proved so popular at launch that the servers struggled to keep up, leading Embark Studios to apologize and give a gift to all players who logged in on November 2nd. They’re listening to player feedback and have already implemented many of the most requested improvements.
Duos now match with Duos, just like we asked for
The team at Embark Studios recently posted an update on their Discord server about a few popular questions and features for their game, ARC Raiders.
They’ve recently started testing and implementing a new matchmaking system that prioritizes Duos. This means solo players and squads are matched separately, and then Duos are paired with other Duos, and Trios with other Trios. While it’s an improvement, you might still occasionally find matches with mixed team sizes.
Great news! The price of Raider Tokens is dropping tomorrow, Thursday the 13th, at 10:30 CET. If you already purchased tokens at the higher price, you’ll automatically receive a refund for the difference within the next week.
Right now, every player receives one free Raider Deck, and we’ll be adding more free and paid options in the future. Just so you know, free Raider Decks include items to help beginners, which you can also earn as you play. Premium Decks, however, don’t include anything that gives players an unfair advantage – they’re all about customization and making the game more convenient.
We’re adding a new map, plus more events and quests to the game! Expect even more updates before the year ends, and this is likely just the beginning of what’s coming.
