The first Life is Strange game centered on Max’s ability to rewind time, forcing her to choose between saving her friend Chloe and their town. While Chloe didn’t appear in the latest game, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, details about the upcoming Reunion story suggest both Max and Chloe will face significant challenges.

The game tells the story of Max Caulfield and her close friend, Chloe Price, who share a unique connection to time. Max deeply regrets losing Chloe, and now she’s unexpectedly reunited with her at Caledon University. However, Chloe is struggling with disturbing nightmares and confusing memories, and she needs Max’s assistance. Meanwhile, Max is facing her own urgent problem: a devastating fire will soon destroy the university campus in just three days.

The game’s PEGI rating indicates that violence is mostly suggested rather than shown directly, and contains some mild language. Notably, there’s a scene where your character can choose to drink wine, only to discover it’s been laced with a drug that causes hallucinations.

Based on a recent rating, Square Enix is planning to release Life is Strange: Reunion on PlayStation 5. There’s currently no mention of versions for PC or Xbox Series X|S, but an official announcement with more details is expected shortly.

So, Prime Video is making a TV show based on Life is Strange, which is awesome! But it’s a bit of a bummer to hear that the people who actually made the game aren’t working on the show. I’m still excited, but definitely a little worried about how it’ll turn out without their input.
