A new horror game is generating buzz online thanks to its unique combat system – players can defeat monsters by performing iconic finishing moves from WWE wrestling.
As a horror fan, I’ve noticed something that really makes these games work: feeling totally helpless. It’s not just about sudden scares or creepy scenes – though those are good too! – it’s about playing a character who’s weak, outmatched, and really struggling to survive. That feeling of powerlessness is a huge part of what makes the genre so effective, honestly.
Welcome to Doll Town is a new indie game where you play as Yumi, a student who takes a job at a convenience store. She quickly gets caught up in a strange world of cursed dolls, monsters, and danger. But don’t let her innocent appearance fool you – Yumi is surprisingly capable, and can even pull off over-the-top wrestling moves to deal with anything that stands in her way!
Welcome to Doll Town has hilarious finishing moves on enemies
Bad Wish Games recently shared a sneak peek at the combat system for their upcoming indie game, Welcome to Doll Town, on X (formerly Twitter).
In the gameplay footage, Yumi easily defeats a haunted doll, repeatedly punching it before finishing with a powerful wrestling-style slam.
“Why would anyone play your indie game?”
I’ll start: Wrestling finisher in a horror game.

The post immediately became popular online, and people started requesting the developers include even more finishing moves. Many were already excited, with comments like “I’m sold!” and “So, I can actually fight haunted dolls using wrestling moves?” One person even said they were ready to start with a running clothesline and would happily pay for the game.
Welcome to Doll Town will release on February 13, 2026, and currently has a free demo to enjoy on their Steam Page, so you too can perform some epic finishers while you wait.
