In simpler terms, the forthcoming Dino Crisis-inspired horror game, Code Violet, is not planned for release on PC. The developers at TeamKill Media have opted to make it a PS5 exclusive, with the intention of shielding the game from modifications that could involve inappropriate dinosaur-themed content created by modders.
TeamKill Media has shared that they won’t be releasing Code Violet on PC because they wish to prevent modifications leading to the creation of inappropriate or offensive versions of the game’s characters.
Not only does TeamKill focus on safeguarding the game’s characters, but the studio also considers the well-being of the voice actors during their decision-making process as well.
TeamKill values greatly our voice actors and artists, as well as our creative approach to the game and narrative. We don’t support any modifications that could undermine this, particularly those of a sexual nature. Laughing at our work and potentially damaging the reputation of our talented voice cast is not justifiable for any additional revenue we might earn on PC platforms.
It’s unclear what TeamKill thinks about fan art, but it’s likely they wouldn’t be thrilled with adult-themed Code Violet artwork, given their stance on the matter.
