As a lifelong Harry Potter fan, I must admit that my heart skips a beat at the sight of these latest Lego sets! The intricate detailing and sheer scale of some of these models are truly breathtaking. From Diagon Alley to Malfoy Manor, The Burrow, and even miniature Hogwarts Castle scenes, these sets promise endless hours of magical building fun.

However, I can’t help but feel a twinge of sadness when I think about the creator of this enchanting world. It’s disheartening to see someone who once brought so much joy and positivity spread such negativity in recent years. But as fans, we have the power to make a difference. We can continue to enjoy these magical stories while also supporting trans creators and charities that are working tirelessly to create a more inclusive world for all.

On a lighter note, I just hope my cat doesn’t mistake those tiny Lego pieces for toys! I wouldn’t want to find her playing Quidditch in the living room with a mini Hermione Granger as her broomstick!

2021 can start off right for Harry Potter enthusiasts by expanding their Lego collection! Six new Harry Potter Lego sets have been released, such as a 2,750-piece representation of Diagon Alley and a 1,601-piece replica of Malfoy Manor. Notably, the 2,405-piece Collector’s Edition of The Burrow (the Weasley family residence) is now up for grabs at popular retailers like Amazon.

In January, Lego unveiled over 100 new products, with Harry Potter sets being among them, along with kits inspired by Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Star Wars, and other well-known series.

As a transgender individual who grew up devouring the Harry Potter books and watching the movies, I have always been deeply connected to the magical world that JK Rowling created. However, in recent years, her public statements about the trans community have left me feeling disillusioned and disappointed. It is heartbreaking to see someone who once inspired so many of us with their stories now causing harm through her words and actions.

I believe it’s important for fans of Harry Potter to acknowledge the impact that Rowling’s views have had on the trans community, and to take action by supporting trans creators and organizations working to create a more inclusive world. I personally will be seeking out new books and media created by trans authors, and making donations to charities that support transgender individuals.

I hope that one day we can return to a time when the Harry Potter series was a source of joy and inspiration for everyone, regardless of their gender identity. Until then, I will continue to advocate for trans rights and representation in all forms of media.
