Netflix’s Highly Anticipated ‘Assassin’s Creed’ Series Adds ‘Euphoria’ Actor

Netflix is adding a cast member from HBO’s Euphoria as a main actor in its upcoming Assassin’s Creed series. The show, based on the popular Ubisoft video game, received the go-ahead earlier this year. Roberto Patino (known for his work on Sons of Anarchy and Westworld) and David Wiener (who wrote for the Halo TV series) are creating, running, and executive producing the action-adventure adaptation.

As a huge fan of the Assassin’s Creed games, I’m really excited about the Netflix adaptation! We haven’t had a full cast announcement yet, but Deadline is reporting that Toby Wallace – you might recognize him from the upcoming season of Euphoria – has landed one of the lead roles. They’re keeping his character a secret for now, which is intriguing! It’s great to see they’re actively casting, and I’m hoping we’ll get more news about the rest of the cast very soon. I can’t wait to see this world come to life!

Although Netflix hasn’t revealed much about its upcoming Assassin’s Creed series, it’s expected to immerse viewers in the familiar world of the games, with all its clashing groups and high-stakes action.

The Assassin’s Creed series is a fast-paced, action-packed story about a hidden conflict between two groups. One group wants to control the future, while the other fights for freedom of choice. The games take place during important moments in history, and follow characters as they struggle to determine the fate of humanity.

What’s next for Toby Wallace and Netflix’s ‘Assassin’s Creed’ series?

Netflix

Actor Wallace will be a main cast member in the third season of Euphoria, which is planned to premiere in 2026. He’s been gaining recognition for his work with acclaimed directors, including Ron Howard’s Eden, Jeff Nichols’ The Bikeriders, and Danny Boyle’s limited series Pistol. He also recently appeared in Justin Lin’s Last Days, and will be seen in Assassin’s Creed after his work on Euphoria season 3.

Although details are still scarce, the creators of the upcoming Netflix Assassin’s Creed series have assured fans they’re dedicated to capturing the essence of the popular video game franchise, as they themselves are fans of the games.

We’ve loved the Assassin’s Creed series ever since the first game came out in 2007. Working on this show every day is both exciting and inspiring, because Assassin’s Creed allows us to explore so many possibilities. Beyond the impressive scale, action, and exciting movement, the core of the story is deeply human—it’s about people trying to find meaning in their lives, grappling with who they are, and questioning their fate and beliefs. It also explores themes of power, conflict, desire, and revenge.

At its heart, this show celebrates the importance of connecting with others, no matter their background or where they come from, and throughout history. It also explores what we risk losing as humans when those bonds are broken. We’re incredibly fortunate to be working with the talented teams at Ubisoft and Netflix, and we’re dedicated to delivering a truly exceptional experience for fans worldwide.

The new series will probably be very different from the 2016 Assassin’s Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender, which didn’t do well with audiences despite including familiar elements from the game. More information about the Netflix adaptation is coming soon, and we may hear about who’s been cast in the series shortly.
