Netflix’s ‘Extraction’ Spin-off ‘Tygo’ Gets Iko Uwais’ Stunt Team to Deliver the Action

As a huge action movie fan, I’ve been really enjoying the Extraction films on Netflix, and it’s awesome to see they’re expanding the universe with spin-offs! I’m especially excited about Extraction: Tygo – I’ve always thought Don Lee (Ma Dong-seok) is a seriously underrated action star, and he’s taking the lead this time around. Now, the movie just got some fantastic news that really makes me believe this one is going to be the best Extraction film yet!

Tygo promises the same powerful punches as Don Lee, but now with even more impressive action thanks to a new stunt team led by a highly skilled, yet often overlooked, action star (through M.A.A.C.). The star of The Raid recently started his own production and stunt company to recreate the incredible action that made The Raid so famous. Having him bring those skills – and Don Lee himself – to the Extraction series is incredibly exciting!

‘Tygo’ Promises to Unleash Another Action-Packed Revenge Mission

The new action movie, Tygo, will be set in the same world as Chris Hemsworth’s Extraction films and the upcoming series Mercenary starring Omar Sy. The film will follow Tygo, a former child soldier played by Don Lee – known for his roles in The Roundup, Eternals, The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil, and Train to Busan – as he seeks revenge in South Korea. It promises to deliver the same exciting action as the Extraction series.

After years in the making, Tygo is being created by Big Punch Pictures and AGBO, with Nova Film and B&C Content co-producing for Netflix. The action thriller will star Lee Jin-uk (known for Squid Game and Sweet Home) and Lisa from the K-pop group Blackpink, alongside Lee. Here’s a look at what the show is about…
