On January 13th, 2025, Netflix shared the trailer for Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 on their social media platforms and YouTube channel, timing it with the first full moon of the year, known as The Wolf Moon. Although wolves weren’t seen in the trailer, it highlighted the main characters in this captivating fantasy tale centered around Richter Belmont and his group of vampire hunters, who now include the consistent presence of Alucard.

As per the announcement on Netflix’s TUDUM website, showrunner Clive Bradley mentioned that “Season 2 explores the French countryside from Machecoul to Paris, but occasionally ventures to a different location: Egypt. Alucard’s studies about Sekhmet led him to an ancient Egyptian temple, and we visited this temple on several occasions.
