Netflix is developing a series based on the science fiction fantasy video game Kingmakers. They’ve assembled a team and are adding another video game adaptation to their growing list of projects.
According to Deadline, Christopher MacBride, the filmmaker behind Flashback and The Conspiracy, is working on a script adaptation alongside Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps Entertainment. Meanwhile, the release of Kingmaker, a strategy game created by Redemption Road Games and published by tinyBuild, has been delayed with no new date announced.
Simply put, we’re aiming for a truly groundbreaking game and are committed to delivering on our original vision. We don’t want to rush the release by cutting features. From the beginning, we’ve been focused on creating a unique experience that stands out from everything else in terms of how it plays, its size, its ambition, and how much players can interact with it.
Kingmaker tells the story of a soldier transported to Medieval England with a mission: alter the past and avert a coming apocalypse.
