Nested Lands is now available for PC via Steam Early Access

Meta Publishing and 1M Bits Horde have launched an Early Access version of their game, Nested Lands, on Steam for PC. The developers plan to continue working on and improving the game for at least the next six months.

The initial version of the game, available now through Early Access, offers roughly 15 hours of content. Players can build and manage their village, interact with characters, and even play together online in co-op mode.

Owlcat Games first announced Nested Lands at the OTK Games Expo last May, alongside two other projects. The game will be available on PC, as well as PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. According to 1M Bits Horde’s Early Access information, the complete game will also feature co-op gameplay that works across all platforms.

Nested Lands is a multiplayer role-playing game where you build and manage a settlement in a dangerous world plagued by disease and bandits. Your survival depends on effectively growing your village, and luckily, you’ll have peasants to help you gather resources, create items, and build defenses. Be warned though – every decision you make will impact your village, potentially leading to success or devastating failure.

Okay, so in this game, you literally start with nothing – a totally blank map. You’ve got to build a civilization from scratch, and that means telling everyone what to do. Each person has a job – building stuff, crafting items, or gathering resources. There’s a ton to upgrade and customize, like building farms and raising animals, so you can really make your settlement your own. But heads up – it’s not all peaceful building! There are enemies out there, and they’re definitely looking to cause trouble. You’ve gotta be ready to defend what you’ve built!

To escape the dark world of Nested Lands, you must find and help other survivors who still have hope. As you travel, rescue peasants and add them to your group, but remember they’ll need your help to stay safe.

Difficult weather, especially with winter approaching, will constantly challenge you. Plus, the immersive and unpredictable world around you won’t offer any easy moments.

Begin with absolutely nothing and work your way to the top, facing huge obstacles and striving for lasting renown throughout the vast world of the Nested Lands. However, every decision you make will be scrutinized. Will you become a celebrated hero, or a feared figure among the people? The path you take is up to you.

The world is broken and dangerous, making just staying alive a real struggle. Before you worry about other dangers, you need to make sure your village has essentials like medicine – a disease outbreak can be far more devastating than any attack. Focus on crafting, improving your abilities, and accepting the difficult truth of life in Nested Lands. While harsh weather and the approaching winter will be major challenges, you won’t find any easy moments – unexpected events are always waiting around the corner.
