Tsunade, a powerful ninja known as the Fifth Hokage and one of the Legendary Sannin, is featured prominently in the newest official release.
A new animated video shows the character battling Kabuto and Orochimaru, a memorable fight from the “Search for Tsunade” arc in Naruto. The video updates the original anime fight with new CGI and redesigned action. It’s an introduction to Tsunade as a playable character in Naruto Mobile, and she’ll be available as a powerful, S-rank ninja on May 15, 2026.
Masako Katsuki is back as the voice of Tsunade in the video. Joining her are Junko Takeuchi as Naruto, Takuma Suzuki as Dan Kato, Yumiko Kobayashi as Nawaki, and Kujira as Orochimaru, all reprising their roles.
Naruto Mobile Releases New Animated Video for Fifth Hokage Tsunade
The video starts by showing Tsunade coping with the loss of her loved ones, Dan and Nawaki, through gambling and drinking. But witnessing Naruto’s unwavering determination – especially during his battle with Kabuto – inspires her to change. Seeing Naruto’s courage, Tsunade resolves to confront her fears and fights alongside Jiraiya against Orochimaru, refusing to hide any longer.
To get players excited for the mid-May launch of Naruto Mobile, the game developers released both a gameplay video and the official theme song, alongside an introduction to a new character.
Tsunade focuses on close-combat fighting, letting players use a variety of attacks and quick combos. She can heal herself when she lands a hit, and has a chance to deal extra damage with a special ‘Jackpot’ ability, though it only works half the time. Her other moves include powerful techniques like the Heavenly Foot of Pain, Finger Strike, and Golden Fist, plus a team-up attack with her summoned slug, Katsuyu.
Tsunade is famous not only for her incredible strength, but also as the best medical ninja in the world. She has vast reserves of chakra, which she uses to heal many ninja, especially during the Fourth Great Ninja War. Unlike some recent characters added to Naruto Mobile, this version of Tsunade won’t be featured in any special or alternate game stories.
Launched in 2016 and created by Tencent’s MoreFun Studios with permission from Bandai Namco, Naruto Mobile has become a huge success in mobile gaming. Tencent reports the game earns around US$580 million each year, making it one of the most profitable anime-based video games.
This fighting game features 2.5D side-scrolling action and is currently being updated with new characters and special events. Although it’s only been available for download in China so far, fans worldwide enjoy its high-quality animated videos.
