Seismic Squirrel is excited to reveal that their RPG, Aether & Iron, will be released on PC (Steam) in Spring 2026. Players will take on the role of Gia, a smuggler in a reimagined 1930s New York City, and experience a story-rich adventure. The game features turn-based combat with vehicles, and the narrative is crafted by writers who have previously worked on acclaimed titles like Mass Effect, Far Cry, and Sovereign Syndicate.
In Aether & Iron, you’ll explore a reimagined 1930s New York City built upwards thanks to the discovery of “aether,” a substance that allows for anti-gravity technology. You can customize and improve your own fleet of aether-powered vehicles with weapons and armor, and team up with a diverse cast of companions who each have unique skills to help you along the way. The choices you make will not only affect your own story, but also the future of the city itself.
Develop your abilities in Hustle, Smarts, and Brass to succeed in both combat and social encounters. What starts as a simple job quickly spirals into a dangerous conspiracy that threatens everyone in New York, forcing you to reconnect with old friends and make new enemies as you decide the fate of the city’s people.
A free demo of Aether & Iron is available now on Steam, and the full game will launch in Spring 2026. It will be available in English, Spanish, French, German, Polish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese.
