EO Media, headed by Eze Olzanski and based in Buenos Aires, has officially announced that the Argentine-Brazilian series “Sumergidos” will make its A&E Latin America debut on January 27th. As it gears up for a splash at Content Americas.
After securing numerous new film agreements with companies such as Paramount, NBC Universal, Globo, MVS, and others at Mip Cancun, they also finalized free television contracts in Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Mexico, Brazil, and Uruguay. Additionally, they sealed inflight deals for several of their movies during the Mexico event.
Among the newest crime drama series added to A&E’s catalog are shows like “Sumergidos,” joining titles such as “Narcos,” “Narcos: Mexico,” “El Chapo,” “Rosario Tijeras,” “El Patrón del Mal,” and “Surviving Escobar: Alias JJ.”

To A&E’s crime drama series collection, we’ve recently added “Sumergidos” along with other popular titles such as “Narcos,” “Narcos: Mexico,” “El Chapo,” “Rosario Tijeras,” “El Patrón del Mal,” and “Surviving Escobar: Alias JJ.
When we distributed ‘Narcos,’ ‘Narcos: Mexico’ and ‘El Chapo’ to A&E and Netflix, some doubted that these shows could air on a pay TV network and streaming service at the same time. However, we demonstrated that skeptics were mistaken as they turned out to be highly successful,” Olzanski shared with EbMaster.

“When we placed ‘Narcos,’ ‘Narcos: Mexico’ and ‘El Chapo’ on both A&E and Netflix, many didn’t think it was possible for these shows to air on a pay TV channel and streaming platform concurrently. Nevertheless, we showed them otherwise as they proved to be highly successful,” Olzanski informed EbMaster.

“Initially, some doubted that ‘Narcos,’ ‘Narcos: Mexico’ and ‘El Chapo’ could air on both a pay TV network like A&E and Netflix at the same time. But we demonstrated the contrary by making them extremely successful,” Olzanski said to EbMaster.
As a fervent advocate, I’m excited to share that “Sumergidos” marked its first pan-Latin American premiere for thrillers. In the vibrant year of 2022, it made its local debut on Brazil’s Paramount Channel and Argentina’s TV Publica.
I’m drawn to this gripping 13-episode crime thriller masterfully crafted by directors Claudio Rosa, Pablo Brasa (both Argentine), and Marcia Paraíso (Brazilian). This captivating tale unfolds in the scenic locales of Florianópolis and Córdoba, Argentina. The narrative skillfully weaves together surfing, drug trafficking, and politics, providing a unique perspective on these interconnected themes. Claudio Rosa, Glauco Broering, and Pablo Brusa penned the intriguing scripts that bring this story to life.
The series is jointly created by Jaque Content, Prisma Films, Bonaparte from Córdoba, Story Lab from Buenos Aires, and Plural Filmes from Brazil. It boasts more than 60 actors and actresses hailing from both Argentina and Brazil, with Mariano Bertolini, Liz Solari, Jorge Marrale, Juan Gil Navarro leading the Argentine cast, and Cassio Nascimento, Zé Carlos Machado, Ana Cecilia Costa, Guilherme Weber, among others, representing Brazil.
The performance, too, highlights budding artists such as Lucas Heymann, who plays Gordo, an impressive drug trafficker and one of the series’ most captivating newcomers. The renowned professional surfer José Francisco Filho, or Fininho, stepped in as a stunt double for the lead character.
At Content Americas 2025, EO Media is set to appear with an extensive collection of approximately 250 films and series. Some of the titles you’ll find in their catalog include “Arthur’s Whisky,” featuring Diane Keaton, as well as “A Little White Lie,” starring Michael Shannon and Kate Hudson. Additionally, there’s “Sunrise” with Guy Pearce, and “Clear Cut” headlined by Alec Baldwin. Their library also boasts action epics, disaster movies, family-friendly films, and more.
The company has also jointly produced shows like “Ringo: Glory & Death” for Star+ and more recently “Cris Miró (Ella)” in collaboration with WBD / TNT & Flow. Currently, they are developing several new projects across Latin America, France, the UK, and the US, such as the upcoming series “Punta Blanca,” a co-creation with Uruguay’s El Camino Films featuring Natalia Oreiro. This was announced at the latest LA Screenings.
