Nadeshot dismayed over appearance in Esports World Cup Riot Games ad

100 Thieves founder, Nadeshot, found himself chuckling in astonishment upon viewing his appearance in an ad for the Esports World Cup.

The official Esports World Cup has teamed up with Riot Games, thereby incorporating games such as Valorant, Teamfight Tactics, and League of Legends to its roster.

In order to showcase our newest partnership, the Entertainment and Web Company (EWC) produced an entertaining advertisement, starring popular figures from the Riot gaming community, such as Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, a co-owner of 100 Thieves and veteran competitive gamer.

Yet, on the day of release, Nadeshot hadn’t fully viewed the advertisement earlier; instead, he chose to watch the trailer alongside his audience during a live stream. It’s fair to assume that he felt somewhat awkward about his presentation in it.

In the advertisement, Nadeshot takes on the role of a menacing anime antagonist, gripping his fist tightly while emitting an ominous laugh, ultimately unveiling the Valorant symbol.

Wearing a red hood, Nadshot soars upward together with his peers Tyler1 and Hafu, concluding the trailer’s symphonic finale – yet, he appears unimpressed.

Ugh, I can’t believe it! Here I am in this commercial, and they’ve got me looking like a total couch potato, seated on that wheeled cart!” (Nadeshot expressed his disbelief)

He went on to describe the expression Kendrick had during the Super Bowl, which mirrored a scene from the trailer. He explained that he had been kept waiting for this moment, with instructions to make it appear as if he was soaring off into the distance. However, he was surprised when they told him it would be in slow motion.

So far, there’s been no announcement regarding the scheduled dates for this year’s Esports World Cup. The tournament made its entrance last year, featuring players competing in games such as Street Fighter 6, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, and Fortnite, among others. The prize money offered was in the millions.
