A strange YouTube video, lasting an incredible 140 years, has recently become popular online, leaving many viewers baffled.
As a gamer, I’ve seen a ton of weird stuff on YouTube over the years. It’s crazy how many strange and puzzling videos pop up, and a lot of them don’t even stay online for very long – you really have to catch them when they’re up, or you’ll miss them!
But honestly, there are tons of videos that fly under the radar for ages. Some of these aren’t really meant for casual viewers – they’re often part of something bigger outside of YouTube. Still, when you do stumble across them, they’re totally captivating and grab your attention right away.
A recent video, posted by a channel claiming to be from North Korea, is causing a stir – despite showing absolutely nothing.
Blank YouTube videos that hundreds of years long appears everywhere
A video with a question mark as its title was posted to the ShinyWR channel in early January. At 140 hours long, it’s a significant time commitment to watch.
Over the past week, the video has attracted over 1.4 million views, and many people watching have been left thoroughly confused by what’s happening.
I was scrolling through YouTube and saw someone posted a video that was, like, 140 years long! Seriously? Another gamer chimed in, guessing it was probably some kid trying to get famous. We were both totally baffled how anyone could even upload something that big, considering YouTube has a limit of 128GB every 12 hours.
Someone else commented that they found the video strange and initially thought it might be a joke, but it wouldn’t even load or play for them.
It’s unbelievable – there’s a video on YouTube that’s 140 years long! This person, who runs their account from North Korea, also tried uploading a short that was 300 hours long and even attempted a 100,000-year-long advertisement.

There’s speculation about this channel’s purpose. Some think it’s an internal YouTube test page that was accidentally made public, while others believe it’s part of an alternate reality game designed to generate buzz and quickly attract attention.
This video isn’t the only long one on the channel. There’s also a video lasting 294 hours, a shorter one at 150 hours, and a 300-hour stream.
It remains to be seen what becomes of the channel, but for now, it’s got everyone confused.
