Myron Gaines ex Angie begged Louis Theroux’s Manosphere producers to take her out of documentary

Angie Camacho, the former girlfriend of Myron Gaines, has stated she pleaded with the filmmakers to cut her appearances in Louis Theroux’s documentary, ‘Inside the Manosphere’.

A new Netflix documentary follows a journalist as they interview prominent figures in the “Red Pill” online community, like HStikkytokky. These influencers share potentially controversial viewpoints and create content geared towards young men on social media. The documentary features Gaines – also known as Amrou Foudl – a former Homeland Security agent who now creates online content.

After the release of the Manosphere documentary, Gaines faced backlash for saying he wanted to have multiple wives someday. His girlfriend, Angie, seemed unhappy with this statement, particularly when Louis Theroux pointed out the imbalance in their relationship – Gaines wanting a non-monogamous arrangement while expecting fidelity from her.

Later, a title card showed that Camacho and Gaines had broken up. Now, Gaines has stated she requested the documentary ‘Inside the Manosphere’ remove her scenes, but the producers refused.

Angie Camacho said she “never wanted” to be in Louis Theroux’s Manosphere documentary

Angie Camacho discussed the response to the TikTok documentary about the ‘Manosphere.’ She said she wasn’t told a film crew would be at Gaine’s podcast studio or apartment, and while she did sign a contract after filming, she hadn’t actually read it.

I never intended to be in a documentary. I wasn’t informed or asked to participate until I was actually presented with the contract, which I unfortunately signed without reading it first. That’s how I ended up being part of the film.

Camacho explained that she repeatedly emailed the documentary’s producers, asking to be removed from the film, but her requests were ignored. However, she also expressed gratitude to the journalist for prompting her to re-evaluate her relationship with Gaines and her overall life.

Camacho declined to participate in the Manosphere documentary, but she reports being in a better relationship since ending things with the host of the Fresh and Fit podcast.

Honestly, things are amazing right now. I’ve met this incredible guy and it’s just… different. For the first time in a long time, I feel totally secure and cared for. He really makes me feel special and genuinely happy. I’m so grateful for him, and it’s awesome because I actually see a real future with him, and he feels the same way about me. It’s a huge weight off my shoulders.

Gaines addressed the breakup while responding to online criticism about his portrayal in the Manosphere documentary. When someone suggested Camacho ended the relationship because she disliked their unequal polyamorous arrangement, Gaines corrected them, stating that she wanted to start a family. He also used an insulting term towards the user.

This just led to more harsh comments directed at Gaines, with one person pointing out the hypocrisy of advocating for traditional family roles while abandoning a partner who desired one.

Louis Theroux: Inside the Manosphere is currently available on Netflix, and you can find a list of other new shows to stream this month on Netflix as well.
