Myha’la Herrold, known for her role in the show Industry, secretly married Armando Rivera. She revealed the happy news on Instagram, sharing photos from their wedding day and explaining that they only told a small circle of close friends and family. “One year of marriage!” she wrote, playfully acknowledging the surprise for many. The photos showed the couple celebrating with loved ones, including their two cats. Herrold expressed her gratitude for everyone who helped make their wedding day special.
Rivera and Herrold first connected on Instagram in 2020 after Herrold’s show premiered. Feeling isolated during the pandemic, Herrold was responding to congratulatory messages and decided to reply to Rivera, hoping to avoid unwanted attention. She told W Magazine that his message seemed safe, so she simply said, “Thank you.” To her surprise, she woke up to a series of video messages. Initially worried, she checked his profile and found him appealing and harmless. He had messaged her requesting an interview for a journalism class project – a celebrity interview – which led to a 40-minute conversation. This marked the start of their relationship, and hopefully earned Rivera a good grade in class.
