The current season of My Hero Academia has been packed with intense fights, unexpected turns, and touching character stories. As the series approaches Episode 7 of Season 8 (Episode 166 overall), titled “From Aizawa,” it looks like even bigger surprises are on the way. The episode title suggests that some beloved characters will appear just when Deku needs help the most.
The recent episode of My Hero Academia saw a huge shift in Midoriya’s fight with Shigaraki. Knowing he was outmatched, Midoriya unleashed the individual powers within One For All against Shigaraki, but at the cost of losing those powers himself. Episode 7 of My Hero Academia Season 8 promises to be a critical moment in the final battle, and fans won’t want to skip it.
When Does My Hero Academia Season 8 Episode 7 Come Out?
The next episode of My Hero Academia will reveal more about Shigaraki’s difficult past, helping viewers understand the origins of this major villain. New episodes of the final season are released every Saturday on Crunchyroll. They first air in Japan on Saturdays at 5:30 PM Japan Standard Time (4:30 AM Eastern Time), and become available on Crunchyroll roughly an hour later.
The latest episode of My Hero Academia Season 8 (Episode 7) will be available on Crunchyroll starting Saturday, November 15th at 5:30 AM Eastern Time (2:30 AM Pacific Time). These episodes are initially released in Japanese with English subtitles. The English dub usually follows about two weeks later, so Episode 7’s dub is anticipated to arrive around November 29th. Episode 5 of the English dub will be released on November 15th at the same time as the new Japanese Episode 7.
Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed, the current broadcast schedule suggests Season 8 will have 11 episodes, concluding on December 13th. If this holds true, Episode 11 of My Hero Academia Season 8 would air then, assuming no interruptions. However, the final week could feature a longer episode or two episodes released at once, which is common for series finales. Alternatively, with the anime nearing the end of the manga storyline, 11 episodes appears to be a fitting length to cover the remaining content, given the show’s current speed.
My Hero Academia Season 8 Episode 6 Forced Deku to Part Ways With One For All to Beat Shigaraki

In My Hero Academia Season 8, Episode 6, the long-awaited fight between Shigaraki and Midoriya finally kicked off. Thanks to Kudo’s strategy, Midoriya started using different aspects of One For All against Shigaraki, and it was very effective. The attacks began to break through Shigaraki’s mental defenses, and despite his efforts to fight back, Deku’s daring plan left him significantly weakened.
Midoriya’s attack worked well, but it caused unexpected consequences. As One For All was transferred between Shigaraki and Deku, their memories and emotions began to merge. Shigaraki also proved capable of repelling One For All, similar to how he absorbed it. This meant they couldn’t reach the core of darkness within Shigaraki – specifically, the consciousness of Nana Shimura, who possessed the Float Quirk and was Tomura Shigaraki’s grandmother.
As Deku and Shigaraki’s minds connect more deeply, Deku and Nana find themselves inside Shigaraki’s memories, specifically his childhood home. They witness a scene from before Shigaraki’s quirk developed and led to the accidental death of his family. To their shock, they see Shigaraki being abused by his father, Kotaro Shimura, revealing the heartbreaking events that transformed Tenko Shimura into Tomura Shigaraki.
Midoriya and Nana Will Dive Into Shigaraki’s Soul in My Hero Academia Season 8 Episode 7
The next episode of My Hero Academia looks like it will focus on a deeply emotional battle with the past. While Deku managed to transfer most of One For All’s power to Shigaraki, there’s one piece he couldn’t give up, and it’s connected to Shigaraki’s difficult upbringing. Nana Shimura, Shigaraki’s grandmother, played a significant role in how he became who he is. Their confrontation in Season 8, Episode 7, could lead to healing for both of them, or it could make things even worse.
As a huge My Hero Academia fan, I’ve been following Season 8 closely! Episode 6 adapted chapters 414 through about half of 417 of the manga, so if they keep up that pace, Episode 7 should cover the rest of 417 and get into chapter 420. Actually, it totally makes sense it’ll end around chapter 420 – the episode is even titled “From Aizawa,” just like that manga chapter! Things are getting intense as Midoriya’s given up almost all his power for this final fight against Shigaraki. While it’s amazing to see Midoriya and Nana trying to reach Shigaraki, I’m still worried – even if they do get through to him, it’s not a sure thing that All For One will be finished for good!
