
A highly popular anime about being transported to another world is returning! The third season recently got its first trailer, and we now know it will premiere in 2026.
The release date for Mushoku Tensei Season 3 was announced on March 27th at AnimeJapan 2026. The new season will begin airing on July 5, 2026, with new episodes released each week. Crunchyroll is expected to stream the episodes as they become available in Japan.
I’ve been watching the trailer for Mushoku Tensei Season 3, and it looks fantastic! It seems like this season will have some of the best action and most compelling stories we’ve seen so far. It’s clear Studio Bind is really putting a lot of care and effort into bringing this series to life, and it shows.
Mushoku Tensei Season 3 Officially Returns This July With New Episodes
The Japanese voice actors for Mushoku Tensei – Yumi Uchiyama (Rudeus), Kokomo Kohara (Roxy), Ai Kayano (Sylphiette), and Ai Kakuma (Eris) – appeared at AnimeJapan. They talked about their characters’ journeys and what to expect in the new season, then showed off the trailer for Season 3.
The trailers for Mushoku Tensei Season 3 show a much older Rudeus than viewers have seen before. Still dealing with the painful events from Season 2, he must move forward for the sake of his expanding family. That family is now quite large – Rudeus has two wives, Sylphie and Roxy, and also lives with the widows of his friend Paul, including his own mother, Zenith. He’s also taken in Paul’s children, Norn and Aisha.
Things are already getting complex for Rudeus in Mushoku Tensei, but previews suggest Eris will return. Rudeus hasn’t seen her since they parted ways at the end of Season 1. The Dragon God Orsted is also heavily featured in promotional materials, and fans will remember him as the powerful enemy who nearly defeated Rudeus’ group in Season 1, Episode 21.
Based on the light novel by Rifujin na Magonote and created by Studio Bind, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is a popular anime currently airing. It has been nominated for Best Isekai Anime at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards four years in a row and currently has an 8.2 rating on IMDb.
